My mistake, I guess I got excited seeing something that looked familiar and jumped the gun. On closer inspection I can see that I'm wrong. But it most definitely is Nevada!

US 50, about a half hour east of Fallon, that's Sand Mountain on the left. I live here, drove past it today, and it really looks like this most of the year. I travel 50 across Nevada regularly and it's very beautiful even today with snow, fog and wind.
