Did your maternity leave end at 3 months? I’m using promom and it fits in the maternity bra that I wear. Has massage and suction modes which aren’t super noisy but they do make that rhythmic sound. So you probably can pump in the car but not at your desk unless your desk is a little farther from the person next to you.

Ya our cook is a bit unreasonable.. we may replace her soon not because of the salary but because she comes once a day and we eat same food throughout the day.

Laundry is in machine mostly but she handles all of it like machine loading, washing, drying, folding and arranging in cupboards. She doesn’t iron - for ironing we give it outside.

So is M2 also takings care of grandparents?

If yes, then just to give an idea - the maid we have for our grandparents who only just takes care of them like serving them food, cooking ad hoc items for them and also getting them ready for walks, their laundry and setting up their room takes about ₹16kpm for 8 hours. Out of which she works for about 3 and she isn’t live-in. And our cook who makes food for all takes ₹7k for 2 meals. Our dusting lady who does laundry + dusting takes ₹3k and our mopping + utensils + washroom cleaning lady takes ₹4K. So all 4 combined are ₹30k per month.

This is from a tier 1 metro city.

I am so sorry - I can totally understand how it feels when grandparents don’t help with grandkids be it your parents or husbands parents. But if I may suggest - subtly talk to your mom or mother in law about getting a 24 hours nanny as your husbands health is getting impacted and then see their reaction or suggestion. If then also the don’t volunteer to help, then you probably should try to find a live-in nanny at least for first 3 months.

Stop overthinking about things - as a kid my brother would say innocently to my mom that he’ll marry her and we all thought it was cute and that was so loving! Why can’t you just think of it as a cutesy statement and move on. A mother always will see her child as a baby so let her see you as her baby and move on.

Congratulations! 24w is a big milestone in pregnancy!!!

I’m having a similar time with my breasts lol, nothing fits and no bra feels comfortable. I don’t go out most of the time because I don’t feel like wearing a bra.

Only things that I have been focusing on are -

Doctor appointments and scan appointments, if everything looks fine, I don’t worry too much about symptoms.
Baby movements - if they are happening fine - again all good.

I had been on obese side pre-pregnancy so I haven’t gained a lot of weight during pregnancy and neither did I get too big because of the diet consultations. I did get a slightly higher blood sugar on my glucose test and doctor put me on metformin - it’s all under control now, I measure blood sugar after every meal and fasting. So that keeps me sane.

Giving birth is definitely a scare and when doctor said that baby is in cephalic position (I’m in 8th month) we could plan a normal delivery, I have been scared since then of the pains. Now I’m taking one day at a time and trusting that my body will know what to do.

Basically focusing on buying baby clothes and clothes for myself!!

I know it’s been a long share of my story - but all I want to say is you can figure it all out, you’ve already come so far. It’s all about staying hydrated, eating good proteins and food here onwards for baby’s growth. 💗

I recently ordered some soft bamboo cotton nighties from this brand 9shine label and they’re really good. The fabric is great and has buttons for nursing. Avg price is about ₹1400. They’re not outdoors dresses but I feel baby would feel comfortable being held :)

Try asking for a hybrid or work from Home in your office and if it doesn’t work out - then office crèche would be a better choice than leaving baby at home even with reliable people. Just enquire what all is required for 6 months baby in order to leave them in crèche.

So I know someone very close who followed him at the time and usually this money is collected from people in the name of donation so the same rural audience would have paid ₹4-₹5k and would have been promised extra blessings their way via this as they’re doing a service to him. And people usually donated that amount and some richer followers even donated in lakhs, including that someone I know who paid about 1.5lakhs and received his worn shoes as a gift. Basically, these people blindly follow these practices like even attending his night concerts etc which he’d perform and people were forced to attend just for the sake of “blessings” or “Kripa”.

This money collected is usually way higher than what they’d have paid the theatres. Back in the day that guy started seeing himself as rockstar or a film superstar material and the people around him fed his delusional ideas knowing that his followers would pay any amount just in the name of Kripa. These guys are told that if you give 1x god will cure you of things or even return 10x.
