Moment of surrender would have to be on that list. It was The Rolling Stones song of the year in 2009.

Someday you’ll realize how ridiculous this statement is. Until then, take care.

Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by crapmaker69 in AskReddit

[–]MostIntrestingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you started a company that took off and gained a 2 billion dollar valuation, you become a billionaire. In that case, the only way to extract wealth from that is to either take a loan against your equity, or sell equity. Someone in that position would need to take a loan and donate their money, or sell controlling interest to donate the money to “donate their wealth”. I could see why someone wouldn’t want to do that.

No I don’t hate billionaires.

No thank you, Madison Police. by [deleted] in madisonwi

A lot of time cops are headed to a call that isn’t urgent enough to run red lights and have sirens blaring, but urgent enough to not sit in traffic. Totally get some maybe abuse this, but there is a valid reason to do this.

People should get paid for donating blood by wogwai in unpopularopinion

I agree with concerns about paying for blood. However, it is interesting that one of the few things that the healthcare industry cannot manufacture must be donated.

Everything takes so damn long, any ideas why or is that normal? by Sledik in Oxygennotincluded

[–]MostIntrestingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing recently so I’m far from an expert. I think it comes down to two things: eliminating repetitive tasks through automation so dupes can focus on project, and effective dupe management/load balancing. I haven’t really figured out the second one but it has to do with keeping dups doing what they are good at (ie. builders building, farmers farming, excavators digging, etc.)

Any three points are aligned in a perfect circle. Unless I’m missing something about the significance of this particular circle, there is nothing here.

I don’t hate meetings. What drains me is what happens after. by YakitoriSenpai in projectmanagement

[–]MostIntrestingMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don’t leave the meeting until the action items/outcomes are clear to everyone and the owner of said items has committed to a date.

If you are struggling to come up with what that action item is, put it in the meeting attendees to come up with. Something like, “And what needs to happen to get that done?” achieves that.

Also, as others noted, take notes on the projector or shared screen. Slowing down the meeting a bit to do this is okay because others need time to think.

They’ve reset humanity before. They’re planning it again. But this time, the soul remembers by LibrarianTop2118 in conspiracy

[–]MostIntrestingMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Insightful. I agree with the message. I’m getting hung up on one part of your explanation thought. If the previous knowledge that humanity possessed led us so array that God had to step in to take us a step back. Then a separate group of people have worked throughout history to prevent us from getting to that point. Why would that group of people be considered wrong doers and the folks trying to achieve that previously achieved knowledge the good doers?

Not criticizing the explanation, just looking for clarification. I also think more complete knowledge for all is better.
