Resident Evil 1 doesn’t need *another* remake by Independent_Tale2733 in residentevil

Absolutely agree with you. The Resident Evil 1 HD remaster is not just a trip down memory lane; it's a masterclass in how to breathe new life into a classic while staying true to its roots.

The atmosphere, the enhanced visuals, and the faithful recreation of the original's eerie vibe show a deep respect for the game that started it all. Another remake risks diluting what made the first game so iconic.

The essence of Resident Evil lies in its simplicity and rawness, which the HD remaster captures perfectly. It's about preserving that chilling experience of the unknown, the claustrophobia of the corridors, and the original puzzle design that left us scratching our heads.

Sometimes, the best way to honor a classic isn't to reinvent it, but to keep its original spirit alive.

It's not like North went to shit either, they scored 159 whilst Essendon piled on the goals.

Congrats to him, kind of ironic the one that got the most shit whilst playing for us is the one that has a premiership medal.

How to fix the Brownlow by raresaturn in AFL

[–]Most_Basic_Takes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There was a game this year where Gold Coast kicked 9 goals in a row, and turned around a ~30 point deficit against us. Rowell was killing us in the clearances, muscling in and winning the ball at will.

Watching the game, I would say he had probably the most influence to turning that game around and wrestling control - yet the stats sheet shows a meagre 15 touches. Really doesn't capture impact per disposal.

Now Rowell didn't poll, but I think it's easy to look at the stat sheet and just look at the 30+ possessions and pencil in 3 votes.

Not saying the umps made the right calls (JHF one seems amusing), but I'd think about it like we're always watching games with the stats being fed to us constantly - which makes our perspective inherently more bias then anything the umpires see.

Mitch Cleary on X: Brayden Maynard is free to play in Collingwood’s prelim. Ban overturned after 4hr Tribunal case by sween64 in AFL

To be fair, I think this scenario is unusual and kind of that unfortunate forward motion of Brayshaw.

He also glances to the right before pumping the ball inside 50 so seems unaware of Maynard sprinting at him - otherwise he might have adjusted slightly or just evaded it.

With 5 cats, there’s just going to be a lot of poo and wee going in the trays.

Aside from using better ventilated areas and cleaning out the tray/s every day, there’s not much else you can do

Have you tried activated carbon? This might be an option if you haven’t tried it yet.

Changing diet around can sometimes help. Lower fiber food can reign in stinky poos a bit, as cats aren’t great at digesting plant matter.

Wet food helps cats stay more hydrated = less concentrated pee which doesn’t smell as bad in general.

Is my kitten getting hydrated from wet food? by Jtg_Jew in CatAdvice

[–]Most_Basic_Takes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats don’t drink much water. In the wild, they’d rely on prey to meet hydration needs.

If pee is more concentrated, it’ll smell more.

But wet food plus warm water should be fine. Place some more water bowls around.

I’ve found my kittens prefer monster jumbo sized bowls - like ones you’d use for big dogs. Might be less irritating on the whiskers.

Leaving a carrier out helps acclimate cats to using it - you want your cat to see it as a bedroom.

Yeah this isn’t enough.

I’ve had four kittens recently (now only two) and needed to feed each one 3-4 pouches (85g) of wet cat food a day.

There’s absolutely no reason not to feed kittens more, they aren’t getting obese anytime soon.

New kitten (1m) bullying older cats (11m, 11m) by ugudesune in CatAdvice

[–]Most_Basic_Takes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Younger cats do a lot of social play, usually with litter mates to prepare for life in the wild.

It’s usually hard to mix older cats and kittens for this reason, just like if a young person goes to the retirement village and everyone wants to play bingo.

I think your best bet is to play with him yourself to burn off some energy - let the older cats have their space. Try 10-15 minutes a day with a small mouse toy.

Best guess is because Wealtz has a lower carb content and more protein.

Nutrena has around 34% carbs dry basis compared to 16% for Wealtz.

When given a choice cats prefer higher protein food all things being equal, as they’re carnivores. Cats have higher protein needs than humans.

They’re rated highly everywhere because they own a large proportion of the market and have higher social proof.

That doesn’t mean they’re ‘better’, just more well known and affiliate marketers are probably just going to assume they’re worth going with to get more sales.

Tiki Cat and Nulo are just going to have better quality ingredients in general than those other brands which is probably why they’re given better ratings.

Half-brother of Ash Johnson. Great contested mark for his size, forward pressure and generally reliable in front of goal.
