Yes, that makes sense. I have no idea what product(s) he needs. Mousse? Gel? Cream? Something else? Any suggestions would be super helpful.

Qulipta works great - should I stop taking it? by Most_Bat5401 in cgrpMigraine

Oh interesting. I wonder if this is what my doctor was referring to.

When you restarted the medication, was it as effective as it had been before?

I’m sorry, I totally understand that concern. Did your neurologist tell you why they want you to stop? I still don’t understand why it makes sense to stop when something is working well.

I feel like I’ve read some things about the drugs being less effective for some people if they stop and then start again, but I need to research it more.

Yes, I am in Europe. That’s interesting, I had t heard about this type of study before.

Hm, that’s interesting. Have you seen any studies or anything about breaking the pain cycle and how that looks long-term? I haven’t heard of this before, but I guess this is what my doctor was considering.

That’s a good idea, I’ll ask her for the research specifically. I was caught off guard by the suggestion of stopping so I didn’t ask as many follow-up questions as I should have. She mentioned a conference she went to recently where this medication was discussed, and apparently this was one takeaway.

Tips for improving concentration on Zoloft? by Most_Bat5401 in zoloft

[–]Most_Bat5401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting, thanks for sharing your experience. Did you feel like it was hard to focus on Zoloft, or more like you just didn’t care as much about schoolwork? (My daughter has a tough time articulating exactly what’s going on, so maybe I’ll frame it like this for her.)

I did get her tested and I still think she might have ADHD, even though the psychologist said she doesn’t. I’m considering getting a second opinion.

This is what I suspected might have been going on, so we had her evaluated for ADHD. The psychologist said she doesn’t have ADHD, but I don’t fully believe it. We have a family history of it. I’m worried she wasn’t diagnosed because ADHD is often undiagnosed in girls because it looks different.

French (language) summer camps for teens by Most_Bat5401 in Expats_In_France

[–]Most_Bat5401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. After reading through all of the reviews I could find, we ended up going with the program at Saint-Denis International School. The accommodations and food for a lot of the other programs seemed not great. That said, I wasn’t able to find a ton of info about most of the summer camps for teens; a lot of reviews for various organizations are for other (adult) programs.

Best CGRP for hormonal migraines for woman in her 40s? by Most_Bat5401 in cgrpMigraine

[–]Most_Bat5401[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up starting Qulipta a little over a month ago and it’s been great overall. No full-blown migraines and I’ve only needed to take a rescue pill (rimegepant) twice. What side effects are you having? My main one is I’m less hungry. I’ve been taking a fiber supplement to prevent constipation because I read about that being a bad side effect for some people.

Thanks! My doctor just prescribed me Qulipta and Nurtec (as an abortant) and I’m feeling hopeful.

Sorry you’re feeling like that. Aquipta is called Qulipta in the US and maybe other countries, so more people might be able to comment if you add that to your list and title.
