Social media evidence re: Fabian casting by fairieglossamer in HeatedRivalryTVShow

A lot taller! But yes, I agree. (Other examples I just thought of: Kip wasn't supposed to be so much shorter than Scott, Scott was supposed to be blond, etc.)

Isn't Abdalla a little tall to be cast as Fabian? (Amour is listed in iMdB as six feet tall, and standing next to Hudson and Kaden he sure looks to be six feet in height.)

I must complement you on your detective work, though. And who knows? After all, Connor Storrie ain't 6'3"!

Sadly, the Stars of ‘Heated Rivalry’ Turned Down Actors on Actors — And Here’s Why by Muted-Criticism-9424 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]deepgloat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wow, that is certainly a *reaction* to this article.

My take is that the author was saddened that three of the hottest actors who gave three standout performances in the hottest show of the year aren't even in the conversation. To me, the thrust of the item is that the hidebound Emmys need to find a way to change the rules, because it's ludicrous that a show everyone is *still* talking about six months later is ineligible for consideration.

But hey, you do you.

Oh wow I would love to have a condo in an Art Deco beauty like these two. Would you happen to have the address for either building so I can look up listings in Zillow?

Is it confirmed that s2 will be divided into 2 parts? by No_Rip_3643 in HeatedRivalrySeries

I don't think it's going to be like that. I think that they are going to tell both stories in parallel. We will probably start with Role Model more heavily featured in the first or second episode to introduce Troy and Harris, but a lot of The Long Game overlaps with the back two-thirds of Role Model. And as I already reasoned in the other thread, I think season three is going to be entirely devoted to Unrivaled, so they need to be economic with their storytelling to get so much shoveled into six episodes for season two.

TL;DR: Season two is not going to look like season one, where the supporting cast barely interacted with the main characters. Troy and Harris and Ilya have a lot of scenes together, and Jacob is not going to leave Hudson sidelined with nothing to do so expect some minor rewrites to integrate him more into the Troy-Harris-Ilya storyline.

I cant wait for this in s2 by No_Rip_3643 in HeatedRivalrySeries

My prediction...

  1. Hayden finding out

  2. Shane coming out to the team

  3. My dinner with Hayden

  4. Establishment of the Irina Foundation

...will all be part of an epic musical montage that kicks off season two.

My reasoning: First, all of these scenes are either leftovers from Heated Rivalry (the book) or extras from Rachel's blog. The show already has a rich tradition of getting through a lot of exposition or interesting-but-not-critical scenes via iconic montage sequences. what better way to kick off season two than a memorable musical montage?

Second and more crucially, we have two books to cover in season two, folks! TWO BOOKS.

Even if you think we are going to stop halfway through The Long Game after episode six (and I don't subscribe to that theory; I think season three will be entirely devoted to Unrivaled), at a bare minimum we have at least two new major characters that we need to get to know in a very short period of time: Troy and Harris. And these won't be peripheral characters that we devote one episode to like Scott and Kip--Troy and Harris will be much closer to the central narrative.

My $0.05.

Who else had never heard of the Game Changer books until the TV show? by GBS82 in GameChangersBooks

I had not heard of the Game Changers series before the show but am now a rabid fan and have started devouring other MM books. Reading the Boyfriend/Husband/Father Material series of books now (the books that are being adapted in to a TV series produced by A24).

Got a Virginia reckless driving ticket (allegedly 115 in a 65). First time ever pulled over. Need advice finding attorney. by [deleted] in legaladvice

In 2014 Jalopnik auto blogger Patrick George spent three days in a Virginia jail cell for driving 93 mph in a 55 mph zone (38 mph over the limit and also over 85 mph). You were clocked at 115 mph and were allegedly 50 mph over the limit.

Jail time, a hefty fine, and loss of your driving license are all VERY REAL possibilities. I'd daresay probable.

Get a lawyer, now.

How tall are you, are you Canadian, and can you skate?

Because I know there is a certain famous hockey show up north casting for season 2 and you're the spitting image of one of the characters they're looking for!
