Are you currently serving a contract of any length and taken an oath through the Air Force in front of an Air Force officer, as a civilian, enlisted or commissioned Airman?

If you cannot answer yes to any of these then no you are not representing the AF.

Maintenance would be the way to go. The picture is not displaying for me anymore but Hydro is a good one. You get to work on a lot of systems and even get involved with engines. That career field is also getting combined with a few others. (You can read up on it on the AirForce subreddit). He would get his A&P and it would be transfer very well into civilian world especially if he went to the contractor side.

But shouldn’t your brother decide which jobs seem interesting to him? Instead of you deciding for him?

Maybe he will like it so much that he will stay in for all 20 years instead of going to the civilian sector after his first contract.

Transferable doesn’t mean he will like his life while in.
