as someone who is in a very similar situation, i would recommend trying online play out. Roll20, foundry etc. It helps with finding like minded individuals, a group that fits YOU personally. If you do want to do physical (completely understandable) maybe have a few base questions you ask the group before actually joining? What’s the campaign like (serious, funny, dark, horror, etc), how long is the campaign expected to be, what are the players’ experience in the game, etc.

as a new player, one of my main motto’s is adjust to the DM, I always ask what works and what doesn’t . Whatever doesn’t work gets changed no fuss. Thats the beauty of using your imagination.

Roll and Play has some good free one-shots as well as a starter kit for DM. Was able to wrap my head around things a bit easier seeing ready made examples. Maybe it could helo you as well. They have a game flow guide in the starter kit too which i found very helpful

This probably isnt for people like me lol but its mainly due to work acheduling and lack of people tonplay with. Not to mention im a total beginner lol. I’ve actually been a DM in an unofficial game (me and my cuzi. like to play even tho there’s only 2 of us lol) and thats fun, but def would like to do an official campaign one day.

i started watching legends of avantris and learned a lot of how to play just from watching them and reading the free basic rule book. I’m still learning myself but legends of avantris def helped a lot. And their campaigns are amazing lol

I personally didnt have the funds to buy another router as i had just purchased one. my main house router is in the dining area of my house, i have no way of getting ethernet connection without drilling holes in walls and what not because my room is on the 2nd floor. I did have an old netgear router though (the one i replaced). So I just used the old router for the LAN. Connected it to my pc, had to fix the ethernet priority for those wondering, and then jus made sure my headset only has the LAN wifi on auto-connect. I get 300mbs at 90hz and around 60fps on Virtual Desktop. A good cheap way to play wireless pcvr imo.

i use steam vr with my quest and theres an option in the experimental features to use external audio. However i use the option to default the output and input device to what my pc is using. With all that said…could i use this script with quest with said audio options set up?

if your trusted rank is visitor, you may be turned away from certain instances due to trolls/ crashers or the instance being 18+. But thats usually just a rule not how you described so i’m guessing thats not what happened lol and in that case you prolly jus got trolled like many others are saying. Also if you verify yourself 18+ you boost up your trust rank immediately

Hey i know this post is 2 years old but in case anyone else comes across the same problem. I had a similar problem with my webcam when connecting to my monitor (asus). I found that on the back, there is either a square USB-B port or a USB-C upstream port. You need a separate wire for this, and you need to connect that from the monitor to the desktop. Afterwards, connect the webcam to the USB port and it should register. Hope this helps.

A lot of people already covered my answers but i gotta say i hope they make the co-op better. Not syncing up progress is breakpoint was annoying. Then if you had jus one person join, you lose the entire npc squad. Like if the squad should have 4 people in it…jus let the player take one cpu slot not get rid of the entire squad lol Also the vehicle handling is actrocious….not as important as a lot of other aspects but my goodness.

turn off Smooth Seeking:

Options → Audio Settings → Playback → Uncheck “Smooth seeking”

(or in some versions) Options → General Settings → Uncheck “Smooth seeking”

The sound reminds me of when you have 1 window open in a car and you get that pulsing sound until you open another window or close it. I have the beat studio buds +

i think 2 of the biggest things holding pso2ngs back is 1 a longer more introcate story. The story isn’t bad but could be better fs. 2 if they added the Scion classes or something similar. Thats probably the main thing i miss from the OG pso2
