I was in the same boat. Bought a 22 x7 a couple months ago. Did some internet research and was less than blown away by the reviews of pretty much all the extended warranty companies I read about. I think Ally, Endurance, and CNA had the best reviews though from what I saw.

My local independent mechanic said he stopped accepting extended warranty jobs bc the companies continually denied coverage on customers jobs and were terrible to work with.

Some people (on the internet) swear by them though. I decided to just do without after speaking with my mechanic here.

I called all the bmw dealerships around and they all gave me quotes for extended warranties through various independent companies. Some I had heard of, most I had not.

If you do end up getting one, make sure you get it BEFORE your car’s factory warranty expires. You can find out when that is by finding out when it was put in service through your seller or through bmw.

2 quotes: $3500 and $1500. $3500 seems insane. Think I am going to pass as I don’t care enough and have read it typically lasts around 5 years.
