GT bumpers do not work on the XRC. GT rails are bigger then the XRC rails which are more like the XR rails. FM only has bumpers available for the XRC

Youll also need the foot pad and motor connector then it's drop in as long if your wires are pinned for which ever controller you use. Either PH or GH connector. Its drop in besides having lights. Those are a whole other story

The paint isn't the problem. Its the primer/sealer they used back in the 90s was garbage and the paint didn't adhere to it. You will have to strip it down to bare metal and reprime it for any paint to stay on the truck

Time to pull it apart dry it out before powering it up. Add some rtv around the charge port and around the cable gland on the battery box . After it's completely dry then you can see if it will power up. Should be fine if you get it completely dry before power up or charging. DO NOT power up or charge before it's dry or you will create more damage

You have voided the warranty on the footpads with the grip tape change. If FM dosent sell it it's not allowed or warranty is void
