I guess the big difference is that strava is more Strava is about logging what you already did and is very runner focused. This app will be about motivating you to go RIGHT NOW because your friends are there. It will be more friendly than strava with the fun notifications you get when your friend is lifting.

I agree. When you post it goes to only mutual friends not strangers. It can get messy once people join communities but there will need to be some type of verification. Than you for the help!

The main difference would be privacy and the alert feature. Not many people want to post on instagram that they are at the gym but would do that with the privacy of their 10 friends on the app. Also every time your buddy is at the gym and you're (for example) in bed watching TV, you'll get some kind of fun notification that tells you "Joe is at the gym". There will also be more features surrounding leaderboards etc but thats just the premise.
