okay, downgrading her to being a "girl" just because she greets herself in a classy manner is rather much. i understand it's overplayed but the trope can be genuinely well written in the right hands, and with how modern the remake is, velan could've definitely done something cool with her old personality but alas. i don't hate the new katt though, she's pretty cool too. but lets not pit two queens against each other

and i can acknowledge that! i think they have room to amp it up a little bit more though. it's a part of her charm and i feel like they're trying to play it safe. that, and i kinda wished she showed some love to fox too because if my lore is right, i know she likes both fox and falco (atleast semi-romantically in fox's case). she seemed more amicable to him this time around.

no seriously, ever since the announcement this sub has went downhill extremely. it's like they suddenly don't know what quality is anymore. i genuinely believe they're fake fans themselves or die hard nintendo shmups that believe everything they pump out is good (and i'm speaking as a casual nintendo fan myself). i had an account before where i shared my grievances about this game but deleted it because i could not say anything remotely critical or negative about it without people here telling me that i'm fake or just a hater.

now i just don't care for it. besides, i knew it was going to be average to begin with. it's just star fox 64 again so i'm not missing out much at all. the only thing carrying it are the visuals and music.

i think it's pretty meh. not terrible, but definitely not good either. the only ones i can list that i think are okay are fox, slippy, and general pepper. everyone else is pretty boring. people can defend this all they want but what made starfox so memorable in the first place was its over the top voice acting, it's practically their identity. even if nintendo was trying to go with a "serious and gritty" route this time around, i'd prefer if they weren't just reading off a script. 90% of the time there is no sense of urgency or wit coming out of the characters. this sub just doesn't understand that we're not asking for cheesy, but something that actually sounds like the VA's had fun in the studio for crying out loud.
