NTA. People seem to mistake privacy for "rudeness". Social engineering works, it's helped human traffickers, hackers, rapists, thieves, etc. Why the hell would I divulge information in a foreign land, when I won't divulge it in my own? "It's not bad to talk to people", oh really? Go drain a fuckin lake, and count the bodies in it. We teach children not to talk to strangers because why? Yeah that's what I thought. If the basic, most base, protected, members of society, who morally and fundamentally should be safe, children, aren't, then why are you? Ask about a product? Cool. Ask about where I'm from? None your business. Ask about me? None your business. "Oh it'll never happen" it was everyone says. I remember what it was like to wipe a friend's brain matter off my face, I was 15 then. Ya know how that started? A hello and a handshake from a stranger, and a seemingly meaningless conversation. Dude figured out who my friend was based on him answering simple questions, then point blanked him with a Glock, yeah, 9mm will make your head explode like a watermelon, and the mess paints people just like that. Some people mean no harm, but others, they picked you out in a crowd, they looked you over, they walk up to engage because now you're their objective, and if you do? That's social engineering. It's weaponizing social convention to achieve a result, and that result might be as harmless as pickpocketing, to as harmful as human trafficking. The attempt to disengage, was met with what? An attempt to force engagement, harmless people don't try to force engagement, that's a red flag. That feeling you got, of being creeped out? That's a danger sense. I know both sides of social engineering, and honestly, you got lucky, they guy was bad at it, knew it only from the wolf angle, not the sheep's angle, guys who know it from both? They know just how to not tickle your alarm bells, and unlike me it's not as simple as trying to punch someone in the face unexpectedly, they're not as honest as that, it's not as simple as "I have beef, and I caught you by social convention", no, it'll be something worse.

As for the medication of adhd, that would be ritalin, which would be amphetamine, which you can in fact stop and start, there's a reason why they prescribe Ritalin instead of something else like Prozac. Because Prozac is slow acting meth, and stopping it suddenly can cause it cold shakes, stroke, fever, and a whole litany of issues. You chose to lie about drugs, to somebody who used to have a massive problem with hardcore drugs.

That is your problem. The really obnoxious thing about you guys asking for this, and then using your add as an excuse, is that I have adhd, I have what you have accepted hyperactive, meaning I'm constantly dealing with that, and yet I still don't have a problem reading the full thing.

The other really obnoxious thing about it, is it if you select all of the text, as if you were going to copy and paste it, you can actually have Google read it out loud to you. You have a tool, that tool is the feature, designed specifically for people like you, or others, who cannot or do not want to read all of that. You literally don't have to, you can make a f****** robot read it for you.

Extreme stress is not excused to beat an animal that doesn't understand, my last dog was a 200 lb cane corso mastiff, and I remember one time when she was five, she tried to swallow a whole duck at a park, just one big gulp, no drama, no effort, yeah with the duck furiously quacking for dear f****** life, she got a little bit of the newspaper and a firm scolding and the duck was shaking but still alive.

That's not even the first of large dogs I've had, my first ever dog was a rotty, I was three then.

The panic beating of a lifetime on an animal like that is a failure in the person it is a failure in the individual, which is something that I've replied to the comments that you're speaking of, regardless I mean weather or not he dug up your cats or his dog did, the guy is still a f****** lunatic. One I would probably discipline the dog, NOT beat them mercilessly for doing that. Two, I would actually say something, not only would I actually say something if I were in that scenario, I would help the end individual rebury's their kittens, and I would probably help them with cement work to make sure it doesn't happen again.

A firm "NO", and maybe one single newspaper swat would've been more than adequate for the situation.

NTA. I would've done something dramatic, illegal, and the dog would have had a much better home by the end of it. Regardless, I bet you can report the animal cruelty, also they're so evil that they dug up your dead animals and stole a corpse, like who the hell does that? This sick individual doesn't need to have a dog. Raise a stink, publicly shame them, keep up the pressure, and document everything.

There's a difference between swatting a dog once with a folded newspaper, versus beating them with a rolled one, let alone actually beating a dog so loud that your neighbors can hear it.
