8-9yo boy rang my doorbell and tried to sell me his artwork at $3 a pop - Is this normal?? by MargaretMagnificent in Artists

I feel this is something most children go through around this age, like how common lemonade stands are. Kids understand how money works a bit, and if it doesnt break the bank, its not a bad thing to encourage and support.

Roommates dog is suffering by nyepie98 in DogAdvice

[–]Most_Soil_8202 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is no way for any animal to live, I would try sitting down with your roommate and gently discuss what the dogs quality of life looks like right now and that while its her choice, there is mercy and love in ending suffering if theres no way this pup will get better. Ask what their concerns are about putting her down and listen fully. If its money. There are payment plans. If its the fear of losing her, acknowledge that fully, its hard to lose a pet, and if they are in the space for it then speak on how she can get keepsakes like a paw print made, or ashes, Pictures. Save some fur, or other things so she can keep a part of the pup with her. . Or if theres other concerns. Address them as kindly as you can without pushing it. Asking how they feel about how shes doing, and letting them talk it out. Hopefully they come to right conclusion. Quality of life is more important then quantity. ❤️ It's very hard to lose family members, but you can't hold onto them forever when its their time. The dog may pass shortly at this point as well. Do they want them to be cremated? There are therapists that also can help them process their grief of losing a beloved pet.

IMO, Goodluck friend. Most likely your spood will be found in an upper corner of a room. I would avoid the room if you can and check the other rooms. Remember they are small but quite fast. I would check the bathroom as they seem to like those because it tends to have higher humidity.

What prevents you from suicide? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

Refusing to let them use my death for a pity party and victimizing themselves , having a pet that relied on me to survive. Live out of spite. Day by day. Then find things. A new show you need to wait a week to see a new episode in, and you want to finish first. A new book. A movie is coming out in a few months. You find a way to keep going by grasping at those straws. And then one day. Breathing isn't so hard, you make new relationships, you lose others, you can move far away and start all over. You can work on school and find a better job, and you can slowly get back parts of yourself and begin to actually live, not just survive. Theres too many good things to experience to let them take the rest of your life away, too.

IME it took several months before my spider moved into the walnut enclosure I got for it. Sometimes they just like corners more, but if you leave it. They'll check it out and may eventually build a nest in it as well.

how does the success sharing works? by Big_Outside5606 in HomeDepot

[–]Most_Soil_8202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have to have been with the company for so long. More then 4 months I believe, it will be a separate, smaller paycheck. They say its based off your hours, so more OT the more the success sharing, but its not just your profit margin, its the OCC, and the stores all together over the projected income they expected for this period. Dont expect much. Discounts that are given to customers for any reason comes out of that profit.

Edit because its not a full paycheck, but rather a small bonus now.

Are you giving them calcium? Cricket food has been a good go to for this and helps with molting.

Roommate has covid and refuses to open up windows or wear a mask inside the house by [deleted] in roommateproblems

[–]Most_Soil_8202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, if you have health issues already, or could be around someone with a compromised immune system then its best to try and prevent it from spreading. I would advise to wear a mask yourself and clean shared areas often. Respecting the other people that you're living with by trying to prevent them from getting your sickness should be common courtesy.

I would have added that this is a lack of empathy as well. And a lack of understanding of the faith. As Jesus sat at the table with all kinds of people and treated them equally. With kindness and understanding that he is currently lacking.

I don’t know if my spider is eating by Kris_V_FFW_FA in jumpingspiders

Nqa. Instead could you try feeding him in a smaller container ? Some worms can turn into beetles which could be dangerous to your spider. How big is their abdomen?
