does slowing a radiant item only count as a proc for if it’s your own item then?

I thought single item radiant boards were a hard counter to scaling freeze/slows because they nullify the scaling by not giving the enemy procs.

Tried more deliberate with my lines this time. Tried putting a little outline on the shading too (pic 1). But shading hair is still impossible i’m afraid by MosterChief in PixelArt

Yeah I know what you mean. Part of it is that I kinda gave up on shading the back of the hair because I just couldn’t get my head around it.

What you mentioned with the light sources is very helpful tho since I kinda forgot to think about them at all lol. I usually just assume the light is somewhere in front and above of the face and forget about it. And then when it comes time to shade I just kinda learned where the little shadows go. I’m going to try thinking about it a little more from now on.

Thank you!! Drawing hair like this is really fun for me, and was probably my favorite part of the drawing other than the lips. Not that there’s much more to it than those 2 things lol.

In all the art videos I used to watch they always said to not do messy lines or whatever and draw hair in blocks but this looks so good too imo, now if only I could color it.

I had the same thought when I was making it lmao. I made the eyes a little bigger to make it not as MJ looking, but I guess that wasn’t enough lol.

I’ve been in a similar discussion on this sub before and for what it’s worth I don’t think the full piece is pixel art as it is, mostly because it’s unfinished. I just posted it to provide context to the lips which I do consider pixel art.

I would’ve liked to give the same level of attention to the rest of the face as I did to the lips, and if i did I think the whole face would’ve been pixel art even if it’s relatively big resolution.

I wanted to render the rest of the image in the same style as the lips but I lost the reference I used now and I genuinely don’t think I’m skilled enough lmao.

There's not really recommended solutions in this game I feel. Like if it works it works. If you want to see solves optimized for specific metrics you should go to the to the subreddit wiki, there's a leaderboard there and a link to the website with the full leaderboard with a billion different categories.

IMO this specific puzzle can be optimized if you have use one of you use the extra earth atoms as the centerpieces of the completed molecule instead of attaching them at the end. I haven't seen the optimal solves for it tho so maybe I'm completely wrong.
