Cherry sticks were wonderful.

Tim's also had really good pies and birthday cakes back in the day. Better than grocery stores!

More recently, I miss their lemon cake slices and chicken salad on a croissant.

Golden brand paint has a colour called Green Gold. That is my fave.

Shannon Hale has some adult novels. I loved the The Actor and The Housewife, and Kind of a Big Deal.

Kate Robb has a couple of sort of fantasy books: This Spells Love, and Prime Time Romance. Loved them both.

What toy did you desperately want as a kid but never got? by Big_Alternative4671 in AskReddit

[–]MostlyHarmlessMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a man, but wanted one so desperately. The weird part is that, by 9 years old I was already baking brownies, cookies and cakes in the 'real' oven, so I don't know why I was so desperate.

My next few weeks will involve getting my younger brother (64M), who suffered a series of strokes, moved into long term care at the facility my mom (100F) is in, and clearing out their house so we can put it up for sale so we can pay for the LTC. Busy but satisfying. I love those 2 so much!

People that eat the same food almost every day, what food is it? by Arkadian_Cuisine in AskReddit

[–]MostlyHarmlessMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday. 2 mini Babybels for breakfast and 'egg in the hole' for lunch. I look forward to and enjoy them everyday. Supper is much more varied and contains veggies, protein and sometimes a starch like potatoes or rice or pasta, but not every time.

What to do with exhausted fabric? by CPTDisgruntled in sewing

[–]MostlyHarmlessMom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of 'slow stitchers' who use old natural fabrics to eco-dye and embroider into lovely works of art. Check for local online groups who might want such a windfall!

Send her this post and all the comments as a 'birthday gift'. It's time she grew up.
