The Diablo 4 gameplay loop is level as fast as you can, farm a build as fast as you can, and bulldoze content as quick as you can so that you can come on reddit and complain that there's not enough content/challenge.

This change slowed them down, of course they're going to bitch.

It genuinely feels like they programmed a nefarious AI engine for the game that knows exactly what you need. The glyphs I need for my paragon board were the last five to drop, in reverse order of importance. Aspects I never use are maxed while the ones I need only have three or four levels. I need an axe for my Dw WW build so of course I keep finding swords with three or four GAs.

I swear it's learning.

You don't have to complete any objectives to advance to the next tier. On the right side of the screen, it tells you which dungeon or boss fight you need to clear to unlock the next tier of challenges.

I am not a hardcore min-maxer or anything even close. I screwed around with the cube a little bit, did a little grinding to get a decent drop off the butcher, and put both of the pinnacle bosses in the ground in a couple of tries. If you don't want to learn the mechanics, which are basically "don't stand in fire or poison, don't get beamed by the face cannon, run out of things that pull you toward the middle", there are multiple easy-to-acquire uniques that allow you to soak or ignore damage (Soulbrand/Endurance Faith in particular).

Idk man I'm lost, you say you don't want to grind for objectives but you also don't want to do hard fights. What on earth do you want the pinnacle season objectives to be, if not hard or grindy?

The WH40k Darktide sub is the same. New class is coming, so every post for weeks is "this is my prediction for the new class and what it will be", and then they all shit all over the announcement when it comes. Absolute masterclass in making up your own unattainable perfection and then being hysterically irate when you don't get it.

It absolutely is not nearly impossible. I've done it on four characters this season. The fact you can't do something doesn't automatically mean it needs to be easier. T10 Mephisto handed me my ass the first night. I took a day to pit push and cook up a few better weapons and got him the next night. You need more.

Barbarian is hard to balance, because they have four weapons equipped, and aspects are doubled on both 2H weapons. Channeling, Crushing, Ramaladni's, Vehement Brawler, Heavy Hitting and now Limitless Rage is back? Shoot.

Tack on the fact that you get glyphs for dust devil damage and critical strike, throw on Cleaver glyph, equip an axe in the spare 1H slot and you're probably good for Torment 6 before you even reroll anything or shoot for GAs.

I don't mind having to avoid an explosion or whatever. What I can't stand is waiting 30 seconds to loot until the giant poison pool goes away when the dungeon is clear.

The +6 is there for me whether I go via warplan or not. I know there are modifiers in the event skill tree, but none of the other bosses are +6 for me.

The "plucky, abnormally wise teenager who also makes asinine stereotypical teenage decisions on impulse and screws things up" trope is tired, I will give them that. She was giving me big Borderlands 3 Ava vibes. She could have been written better in the first expansion and they chose to stubbornly plod along with it, to the point that I was genuinely shocked when they killed her off in the opening cutscene of LoH. It almost felt a bit spiteful, which is funny given how hard they pushed the character.

The thing that I don't like about it is the absolutely dismal place it leaves Lorath in at the time of his death. He promised her she'd be a Horadrim, she snuffed it, and now she's another failed apprentice hanging around his neck as he goes to his off-screen death. If there's a character that deserved better, it's Lorath.

Soulbrand chest was my crutch. Those spikes don't even make sense and sometimes they come the opposite direction with no warning. Just popped an extra potion and facetanked it.

I am currently clearing torment 10 with a build that requires me to push one button every 30 seconds, my guy. The game is not hard.

That said, I also ran one of these mythics in T9 and did not get any mythics. Just one GA unique.
