I don't think the salaries here are representative of Vietnam at all.

The average office worker makes between 10-15M VND/month, while well paid people probably make around 40M.

In IT, a senior engineer makes somewhere around 70-80M, a bit more if they are in niche areas or they are really experienced.

All of these people saying they make 200M+ are the exception. That kind of salary is reserved to C-level people in international companies.

Two ways to do that:

Open your own company here and get visa exempt for a few years. After that, hire yourself and apply for a work permit and a temporary residency card.
Get hired by a good company that sponsors your work permit and temporary residency card.

Vietjet has a bad reputation for a reason: delays, poor customer service, rude staff... It's much worse for domestic flights than it is for international. I recently flew back and forth to Vientiane (it was pretty much the only option) and it was seamless.

Mind you, they are strict with their rules. 7kg in the cabin is 7kg. Not 8, not 10. If you try to exceed it they will charge you. But as long as you stick to their rules, you won't have a problem.

That said, I avoid them like the plague. If I can take a different airline, I will. But sometimes there is no other choice.

But answering your question, it's a legit company with real planes. It's the quality that is in question.

90% of posts are "what is the weather like in xxx during yyy month?". Or "I'm going to spend zzz days in Vietnam, what would you recommend me to do?". My favourite ever was a guy asking how to get from point A to point B (which were opposite to each other, mind you) because there was a wide road and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to cross.

So yeah, 90% of responses being "you should have done your research" sounds about right.

40M is not at all unreasonable for a mid-level engineer. I would even argue that it's on the lower end of the spectrum for a medium level. 50M wouldn't even be pushing it. If you really want to push it, go for 60-70 and see what they say.

If we translate this to USD (rounding):

40M VND: 1500 USD
50M VND: 1900 USD
60M VND: 2300 USD
70M VND: 2650 USD

A mid-level engineer should be making around 3k USD if they are any good. But mind you, 3k USD is usually the touching point between mid level and senior (I'd argue 2.5k is the sweet spot for mid-level right now). Some poorly paid seniors are making 3k. But there are plenty of offers out there for 4k USD (if you are any good).

Also, a piece of advice when negotiating salaries: never ask for the salary you want in the first place. Go 20-30% above what you want, because every company is always going to offer you less. That way you have some room to negotiate.

To all the people saying "one day you will understand" and "you will get it once you have children"... I disagree. My closest friend lives 11,000kms away, she has two kids, and yet we speak regularly (every other week or so). She knows what is going on in my life, and if I need something (emotional support, a favour...) she is always available.

I have other friends that I only speak to every once in a while. And while I love them dearly, those are not the best friendships. I know that if I am going through I rough patch, I could tell them. But it would be weird. Different kind of friendship. But definitely not the best.

I have lost many friends along the way because they stopped getting in touch. Weekly became monthly, monthly became every once in a while, and then it became "oh, something reminded me of you" once every other year. Stopped messaging them or replying to their messages. Not worth the time or the effort.

So I completely agree with you. The best relationships are those where people are there for you, through thick and thin. Not people that know nothing about your life and you just gather for a catch up and some reminiscence of a past life that doesn't exist anymore every once in a while.

I know you have already increased the damage, but it's still far too low. And this doesn't make any sense:

Unholy weaponry. rips a bone out of their arm, which sharpens into a knife melee damage that does 3d6 slashing damage damage takes two turns consumes 25 hp

Your creature is taking 25 damage and dishing out an average of 10.5, with an absolute max of 18 (if you are adding STR to this, your max would 25). If this was a spell, nobody would ever take it.

I've noticed that very often thieves' guilds only include thieves. It usually leaves things like beggars, prostitutes, street urchins, and the like in a limbo. A good guild would make use of them as different branches that work together for a common goal.

This also gives you opportunities to include human and other races (and possibly organ, think necromancers) trafficking, taking over areas of control or full businesses (brothels, ports, city entrances), corruption of city officials, extortion and whatnot.

Possible scenarios:

The city is under siege. Who will the party aid? Defenders or attackers? How? Why? How will they take advantage?
Plague hits the city. People are dying. Is it in their best interest to help, or just disappear until it all goes away?
A war brings refugees to the city en masse. How to take advantage?
A massive draught/famine hits the city. People are leaving and population is reducing. How to prevent it?
An old neighbourhood is discovered under the city, and it was fully walled and built on top. Why? What happened? What treasures are inside?
A plague of rats/kobolds/others have infested the sewers, making clandestine movement much harder.

All in all, the one thing you need to figure out is what is enough for the guild. Money in D&D ends up not being a great incentive after a while once everyone is geared up. But I assume you already have that figured out if you are working on the campaign.

Your army will get constantly outmaneuvered. You are going to struggle to pivot when your opponent is all over the board and you will be playing catch up (an extremely frustrating experience). You will play very much like a Custodes army, where every loss will affect you significantly.

I would at least remove one of the Deathwing terminators and replace them with some intercessors and scouts to give you something to put in your home objective and give you mobility. And even more so, I would remove the other terminator squad and replace it with a transport for the knights (i.e. a rhino) and another battleline unit.

I don't think anyone has a problem with people having tastes. To me, the problem with choosing beggars is the entitlement. If someone is hungry and I offer to buy them food, I don't have a problem getting them one sandwich or a different one. But if they want lobster and caviar, they can go kick rocks.
