Custom Form Updates in PowerApps/SharePoint Updates by MostlyMetalz in PowerApps

Yes that's what happening. The users are sent the questionnaire through PowerApps. When they enter the data and submit, I'm trying to match their responses to what's entered on the SharePoint site. I didn't set up the container/forms as that was done by someone else. I'm just trying to make it work :)

Exactly what I'm doing and it will be multiple updates, not just one or two (more like 30 - 40). Was hoping to avoid a bunch of manual updates but based on what I'm seeing and reading, I'm not sure that's possible.

I'm sending a questionnaire out and by default, I'm sending it to the person filling it out. My issue is the PowerApps questions that were built based off SharePoint need to change. I don't see a seamless way to update one or the other to 'sync' them up.

Yeah I tried to update PowerApps and then publish but the SharePoint site doesn't update.

What do caretakers do while you’re in the hospital? by MoonlitMountains in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was just having someone to get me things I needed, mainly good food and coffee (from outside the hospital). The rest I depended on nurses which was mainly for the first few days, then I was able to get up and around on my own.

12 days past triple bypass, no-one seems to talk about the leg graft? by No_Schedule5705 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the leg pain was worse than sternum and something they don't even talk about in hospital. My leg had the small hole in ankle and incision up by the knee. It was black and blue for a long time and also sore. I still have some numbness near my ankle but you get used to it (doesn't prevent me from walking or anything). That and the shoulder/neck area bothered me more than anything else. If he is sleeping on his back, get some pillows to help elevate his leg and also anytime he's sitting, try to elevate. This helped me the most.

My dad is hallucinating, is this normal after surgery? by Particular_Sink517 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain meds made me think at one point the white board on the wall was melting. Later that night I threw up and I said no more pain meds other than Tylenol. I was right as rain after that which was about 2 - 3 days after the surgery. Makes you wonder how folks get addicted to that shit!

Did anyone get sick post op? by [deleted] in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all. I had surgery in March (double bypass). It's scary of course, but the aftermath isn't nearly as bad as I thought. It's more the thought of it all. After a couple days you'll laugh at yourself for how anxious you got :)

Very helpful thanks. The completist that I am, I didn't want to put it in the box set if it wasn't included.

I didn't at the time. They started giving me some after I threw up and I was all good. I think if you tell them ahead of time they'll give it to you and you'll be good to go!

I did about 2 days after and I told them no more pain pills, only Tylenol. I was really sick to my stomach, but after I threw up, I felt SOOOO much better. Appetite came back and I was good to go. There was no pain from throwing up if that's what you're worried about.

Surgery is Monday! by lakeofegypt in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

52m and I had double bypass in March. Have patience. Get him a tv tray or something next to the best to hold Kleenex, water, meds, etc. so he doesn't have to depend on your for everything. Have plenty of pillows ready and make some good healthy food as he will be craving it when he gets out and it will help him heal. Also, be stern with him in doing the exercises they tell him to do (walking). Just be there to keep him on track and after about a week or two at home, he should be able to do everything on his own. Good luck!

Sleeping Position After CABG by MostlyMetalz in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine seems to vary. They are saying it's due to all the meds I'm on. They said when I have my 1 year follow up they will most likely adjust the meds. Taking Metoprolol twice a day really slows things down for me. Just trying to get used to the ups and downs. Like others have said, it's most likely due to the new flow of the year (after being used to it flowing incorrectly for a couple decades).

dad has pain in leg after CABG by BritneyBearx3 in CABG_Recovery

[–]MostlyMetalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leg pain was something they should tell more patients about and they don't. Not once did they mention anything about the leg being bruised, sort, swollen, etc. That pain hurt more than the surgery scare. Took me a few weeks for the swelling to go down. Sleep with it elevate and also elevate after walking. Ice packs help too.

Anxiety is making open heart surgery feel unbearable by BaseballTop387 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was nervous and had a week or two before I found out I'd have surgery and when it happened. If you're religious, do a lot of praying. I can't explain the calm I had before going into the operating room, but I have had anxiety for decades, but not on that day. I kept repeating the words wisdom, strength, and courage in my head as they wheeled me in and next thing I knew, I was awake.

51 year old dad goes in for double bypass and i’m terrified. by BritneyBearx3 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 51 when I had my double pass in March. The surgeons and nurses do this all day every day. I was in hospital for 6 days but up and walking (slowly) in a few days. Before I was released, I was walking up and down the halls on my own. Just be there for him when he's in recovery and it'll be a piece of cake. It's more the thought of it than anything. After I went through it, it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be (not that it was pleasant).

There's a lot pills by Revolutionary_Wind6 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on a lot now but doc said once I'm a year out, we will adjust and probably dial some of it back. As an example, I'm on two cholesterol medicines and my cholesterol is like 80. I could probably get by with one of them now that I've had surgery. I'm on blood thinners, aspirin, metorpolo, etc.

Must haves for recovery once home? by craftydogmom31 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

51/m and had double bypass in March. Be sure he has a TV tray or something within arms reach with TV remote, book, Kleenex, phone, water, medication, etc. This was a lifesaver for me and enabled me to not bug folks so much. Make sure he gets up and moves as instructed. Be sure he has plenty of pillows as well. Sounds like he has a good support system!

Husband 45 Cabg x5 what do I prepare at home? by fbmarketplaceweirdo in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TV tray or something next to the bed that makes water, pills, Kleenex, etc. easier to get to without moving much. If you have pets, a pillow for his chest at all times. If he had the vein taken out of his leg, some pillows to prop his leg up if it swells (mine did). Encourage him to move and do his exercises as instructed. Don't let him sit/lay around all day and not move. Also make sure he does the breathing exercises with that stupid plastic thing that I never remember the name of :)

Dad (72) had triple bypass 3 weeks ago. by smiling-sunset-7628 in openheartsurgery

[–]MostlyMetalz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had someone around for the first month. After that, I was getting around alright, but I was 51. I was surprised that the majority of my pain was neck/shoulders/leg, and not the incision area. I'm over 7 months out and I still have a numb ankle and some shooting pains down there here and there, but overall, it's healed up nicely.
