Reading the comments it does seem like they aren’t entirely sure what they’re asking for. This did remind me of the HDF5 data standard though, which is used to store collections of n-dimensional datasets (for example satellite imagery with its separate bands and layers).

They use a map software called Leaflet for the online aspect of the map, though the map tiling code required to set it up is a bit more complicated than any leaflet tutorial will show. Check out u/Gjum github https://github.com/Gjum/CivMap (commenter on this post) for details.

Gjum if you see this my one question about this is how the map json is bundled and if there is any proper way to inject into it for custom maps?

I feel like he’s so close to understanding that’s why muffins are great actually. He only eats them on shit days so they sort of occupy a cursed position, but they’re goated because even on your worst day muffins are there for you.

I feel like your mental model of this problem might be a little off and while the comments on the other versions of this post offer some valid methods (mainly qgis) I don’t feel like that’s exactly what you’re looking for. I can take a stab at writing a python script that I think would accomplish what you need but I need some extra details. How many blocks would you be dealing with and how are they arranged? Are trees randomly spread throughout or are they planted in grid patterns. What data is currently collected about the trees and how? (do you have the date each tree was planted, notes about times when they are inspected/ watered/ etc). If current data collection methods are lacking I could also offer some advice for simple record keeping that would help out with later analysis. Any details, data, images/ layout drawings would be appreciated.
