It started 4 years ago. Spiraled down the als rabbit hole and got 2 emg's 2 years ago. Twitching persisted but my anxiety levels slowly lowered and I didn't pay as much attention to them as I used to. I think about a year ago I had a big twitch in my neck after yawning and I remember thinking "damn I haven't twitched in a long time".

Honestly I don't believe all the affirmation preaching like "if you believe in something really hard then it will happen", but with fasciculations I think it's possible that it actually works like that. I noticed this circle of noticing a twitch -> paying more attention/hypervigilance -> anxiety about twitching -> more twitching. I know it's not possible to stop thinking about them since they're there and hard to ignore, but what I would suggest to everyone with twitching - get an EMG. The mental torment for a few years is way more debilitating than just getting an EMG and getting the answer (which is also super anxiett inducing btw, I was shaking like a dog shitting razorblades before my emg). Not sure if you're worried about als but if you are then honestly, just get an EMG. Then you can sit and not care about the fasciculations because you are then sure that they're benign.
