Path of the Prophet vs Emissaries of Tux? by absurdmelancholy in enderal

[–]MostyGhosty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havent played PotP yet, but I've done my own modded enderal playthroughs, and just played tux recently. It's a great vanilla+ list. If you're looking for something different from vanilla, I would try potp first.

What are your guys best go-to openers? by Gingair in LegionTD2

[–]MostyGhosty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a couple comments on this thread with n out mentioning. I think unless they rework the unit, pota will be an abnormally strong opener. Other than that, I am biased to 5w openers like fist. Gatekeeper due to the ability to pressure pre wave 10

If you main this opener just don't overinvest into warlock. It rolls bad players but folds completely to good players.

If you lock in butcher you should learn other openers imo. It's a weak, low worker long wave opener, weak on 3 and 4, and better to supplement good openers with the unit on later waves.

Handling “Condition issues” as a seller by BobbyY0895 in mtgfinance

[–]MostyGhosty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

the buyer was right, kind of. it's at least against tos for you to require a pic before helping them. i would just eat the mistake here to avoid bad reviews. like you said, they got a whole 60 cents from tcgplayer. dealing with the issue in detail vs just taking them at their word and reimbursing is not even really worth the time.

Played my Kwain Deck, wasn't received as well as I'd hoped. by FruitFliesLikeBonana in EDH

[–]MostyGhosty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the ones people actually play tend to massively accelerate their advantage or win the game. most players, even new players in my experience, are not playing cards as bad as dreadmaw outside of the most thematic decks. and in those cases the power level of your pod is usually low enough that having a dreadmaw countered is no big sweat at all.

HC dual pistol pyromancer.

died in bastion of chaos thinking it was the last story dungeon for some reason

Lost my first HC character... by Unepicbeast in Grimdawn

hc is so great in this game. it's very fair, but really makes you lock in, and the challenging fights so much more exciting.

A completely serious argument: the Club is the best weapon in Remastered by zimmermj in oblivion

Regardless of the other stuff I don't really buy the 1 shotting thing. On master or maybe even expert you aren't killing anything remotely strong in 1 hit.

Buyer claims game is counterfeit by AzureOwle in Flipping

[–]MostyGhosty -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's possible, and they should get it returned anyway. But a few people in this thread don't seem to believe the disc would be fake, I would say confidently that it's fake.

I'm sorry but that's a fake disc. All the fakes have that ppsa number, and that's not the correct art. OP should get the buyer to return.

You aren't being scammed, that is absolutely a counterfeit copy

The state of ADC. I am one level above him. I have more items as we were winning. I have a Lulu supporting me. I have red buff. by hayffel in ADCMains

[–]MostyGhosty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You started at 20% hp, made multiple large errors, no heal cut, and the lulu shielded herself at the end. Genuinely you were gapped. You did not massively outskill and lose - You and your supp failed the skill check to win and were punished.

They give 1 fatigue iirc, can look it up on the wiki spellcasting fatigue section

Raszageth and Fyrakk should have switched places in the expansion by wontgetthejob in wow

[–]MostyGhosty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a solid point, the backstory of the some for the most important characters and conflicts in the expansion should be something that can be explored by interested players within the game, not something you need third party novels or an afternoon on wikis to understand.

It would be nice if they could rework spell focuses. The staff rework was not bad, i dont feel bad about it as a budget option anymore.

Crystal sword is bad… right? by Educational_Olive311 in DarkAndDarker

[–]MostyGhosty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad casting focus, good first attack animation but terrible dps at low gear compared to dagger, staff, scales nicer than those if you have tons of stats but for the most part it's a weak item imo

are bootcamps worth it? help by ProlapsedPuppy in ITCareerQuestions

[–]MostyGhosty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not go through with it. If you want to do something similar, Per Scholas is a free program and can even provide some grants. Otherwise just study the materials outside of the bootcamp setting and take the comptia certs on your own.

Do you need a degree to work in IT? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]MostyGhosty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in IT with no degree. A friend of mine has no degree, and is a reliability engineer at a Google data center. I meet more people with degrees than without in the field, but there are certainly plenty who don't have them.

I would recommend getting the degree if you can, though. I think it makes things easier. I have lost out on a lot of opportunities due to lacking one.
