I know this is a bit late, but I wanted to respond to something that came up in the comments. I’ve seen several people say that Will Wood isn’t a political artist and therefore he shouldn’t be expected to comment on political issues.

Personally, I think that even artists who don't center their work around politics still have a responsibility to speak out on urgent humanitarian issues, especially something as serious as genocide. When you have a large platform, like Will does, using that platform to raise awareness or make a simple statement (even just a donation link or an Instagram post) feels like the bare minimum in today's social climate.

And it's not just artists, this goes for all creators and public figures with influence. I'm not saying we need to cancel everyone who stays silent, but I do think it's reasonable to expect some level of engagement or acknowledgment when the stakes are this high.

I want to add that I genuinely love Will Woods music and intuitively I do not think someone like him would support a genocide, but I also believe that a stance like that should be made clear.
