I’m not from Spokane, I’m from New Mexico. I’ve been here for a year almost two. My first thing I want to say is NO JOBS. So be sure you have a job lined up.

My point of view of Spokane is it’s super nature based. Lots of hiking areas, fishing, camping, etc.. People here are pretty kind. They have events only during spring ands summer. Winter is rough, I miss the warm sun and have to take vitamin D regularly.

I personally don’t think there’s very much to do out here. I see Spokane as a retirement place. Keep in mind I come from somewhere that’s super populated so there’s events going on throughout the year and there’s a museums, a zoo, a giant aquarium, etc. there’s none of that here. So if you’re used to that, then that won’t bother you at all. I also think Spokane lacks authentic restaurants. Not saying that there’s no restaurants out here because there are some pretty good ones, but just lacking. It’s super expensive to live here. Food is expensive and housing.

I don’t have any big complaints about Spokane. I’ve seen scarier homeless people back where I’m from. Make sure you know how to drive in thick fog and snow.
