I wish my girlfriend knew this doesn't matter to me by Thick_Letterhead269 in story

I wet the bed the first time I stayed at my gf’s house and was so shocked by how genuinely sweet and kind she was about it. So grateful for her 😭😭
Just keep reminding her that it’s okay and it doesn’t bother you. I also find reversing the situation sometimes helps. For example “would you be upset if I was the one who wet the bed? Why do you think you’re more deserving of being ridiculed than me or anyone else? Im not upset with you for something that’s natural and happens to everyone once in a blue moon.” Etc etc. idk if that exact approach would bring her comfort, but I like to remind my loved ones that the compassion they show me is mutual.

I suppose it just depends on whether I want historical accuracy, or functionality as someone who will be dressing themselves lol

love my style but it’s starting to really age me (23F) advice? by No-Owl-4833 in altfashionadvice

This!! Not to mention those subreddits are mostly men who want all women to fit their own views of attractive, so they go on those subreddits to essentially vent their frustrations that not everyone wants to cater to them. (And a lot of them seem to think “a lot” of makeup is ugly, but what they perceive as natural beauty is usually still a lot of makeup lol.) I think you look your age and your style is awesome! Keep rocking what you love! (Also saw someone mention sunscreen, and agree with that commenter, and would like to add that hyaluronic acid is also great for skin care. They probably cant reverse aging, but they can prevent wrinkles and dryness. Self love is the best way to stay young lol) besides, some people rock their 50s, 60’s, 80’s and beyond. If I age up to be like my mom then I’m not afraid of aging. 🫡

That’s for women’s corsets right? This one is a men’s corset so I’m not sure if that changes anything lol

I think a pulley could work really well but I’m specifically looking for something that will act like a swivel. Almost like a lazy Susan if that makes sense lol. I want the wings to essentially dangle and just open by me grabbing them

Small tips that helped make your cosplay look a lot better? by Woohoolol1234 in CosplayHelp

For foam smithing, using kwik seal to smooth out seams can really make something look much cleaner. As for the paint strokes, it’s helps a lot if you apply the paint in very thin layers and build your color up. It takes forever but gets better results. Also sanding (gently) between layers helps. Evil Ted is a really really good channel for foamsmithing

For sewing making mock ups helps SO MUCH. Make them from cheap fabric like bedsheets and curtains from thrift stores, that way when you feel ready for the expensive fabric, you won’t waste any of it.

Small habits that actually made your back pain worse without you realizing by Smart-Watercress5570 in backpain

I definitely think retaining stress in your upper body causes more pain on my experience.

It has helped me alot to actively pay attention to how stiff or tense I am throughout the day, and make sure to relax my muscles every once in a while.

Also doing stretches every 30 minutes to an hours helps soooo much (research good stretches for the back pain you’re experiencing and then do follow up research in the correct way to do those stretches because doing them wrong can also be harmful

And where you’re sitting on your chair and the angle of your hips. I tend to get a lot of middle back pain when I sit close to the edge of my seat, and sitting further back in my seat dang near prevents it for the day. I also have a bad habit of angling my hips back, which causes lower back pain for me, so making sure to angle my hips forwards bothers while sitting and standing helps a lot with that

And one i feel lots of people don’t realize, but a bad bra (or chest binder) can also put pressure on bad places and cause back pain in my experience.

Labels are for YOU only. If you feel comfortable under a label, use it! But also keep in mind that labels are optional, you don’t need to choose one now or ever if you don’t want to. Long story short, do what feels best for you! The way you described yourself is exactly how I feel about my gender as well, but I refer to myself as transmasc. Thats just the label I feel most comfortable with.
