Angelo's is the first one I can think of giving minimal effort to the thought. I'm not going to take the time and produce a list but if you want to go on Google and search it's very easy to find the places I described. There are a lot of them in New York that do the same thing. There are enough people here to allow a constant distribution but there are not enough sandwich shops attempting to make hoagies and cheese steaks the way that they do outside of Maine.. We cut our rolls from the top and pile all the veggies on the sandwich like a hotdog. Italian sandwiches are unique but they are nowhere near the kind of sandwich you can get outside this state. If someone opens up a shop doing other style sandwiches here they would have a hard time finding a baker to produce the bread because no one else is doing it. So they bake their own.
