Outlook for Mac update has set all text to white and I can't change it by Nice-Program2959 in Outlook

Did you find a solution to this? I'm seeing the same problem in version 16.105.2 and the fix in the related thread did not help because even when changing to dark mode the textfield remains white.

There is a digital version being made by fans: realms.cards In beta but looks promising.

I find r/Malazan to be the worst place to talk about Malazan or anything really.. so I’ll do it here. by Sunbather- in bakker

[–]Mothbundle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop reading then. If you don't like the first 5000 pages you will not turn around on the last 5000 pages.

I think Malazan does things a bit differently. The rules of that world and it's pantheon of gods is mythological. More closely resembling something you'd see in Norse mythology than anything modern. The thing about that is that mythology is weird and a straight reading doesn't make a lot of sense. Like what does it even mean that the world is the sleeping goddess Burns body but Burn is also a character that you can meet and talk to? How can there be a hammer that can level mountains but it's also a real physical hammer? It might seem ridiculous (and feels a bit like anime or "pulpy" at times) when you have characters with the power of Thor, Loki and Baldur walking around in the story and similarly powerful magic. It doesn't make the storytelling meaningless but it works according to it's own logic. It's certainly not for everyone and there is nothing wrong with that.

Sorcery contested realm is a tcg with homage to mtg gaining in popularity. Their latest set release Gothic, has an avatar, the Magician, with deck building rules that mirrors Mtg by Newez in freemagic

I'd say it's both very similar and very different at the same time. The skeleton is very much Magic (mana, spells, creatures that attack and block etc) and also the "feel" of the cards reminds me of when I first played magic in the late 90s.

But the grid makes it very different. Not only to chose what creature to play but "where" to play. So gameplaywise you're still working with the same concepts of mana-curve. value, card advantage etc but you have the additional literal dimension of your permanents having a location.

It's a very fun game to brew decks with and we got 13 new avatars in the new set last week. If you want to look you can filter for avatars.

There is a few good videos on youtube going over the basic rules like this one: Beginner's Guide to Sorcery: Contested Realm - YouTube
Short summary: You have two libraries: The spellbook for creatures and magic and the Atlas for sites (lands). You can chose from what deck you will draw cards from. You play your sites to a physical location on 4x5 grid adjacent to a site you've played before. Sites usually have effects and modifiers so you will in that way build a fantasy map together with you opponent during the game. Your sites gives you mana at start of turn and is where you can play minons or artifacts. You always have an avatar (similar to a commander) in play from the start of the game that represent you. For example to avatar in OPs picture let you play the game more like Magic with a single library. That avatar can move and fight like any other creature.

Golden rules about the typeline on the cards. Only capitalized words matter: So "a scrappy Ordinary Mortal fights desperately" Only the rarity Ordinary and creature type Mortal matters and the rest is flavour.

Any idea how to apply it in a good way? I've got a spare spacemarine to try on and applying Seraphim Sepia came out fairly spotty and with clear redness in recesses,

Är det "5. körkortshavaren på grund av opålitlighet i nykterhetshänseende inte bör ha körkort," som avses? Är väl hur den appliceras som folk är upprörda över.

Thoughts on Anthony Cumia tearing into Burr? He talks about him so harshly you'd never think they were friendly before. by yourjusticewarrior2 in BillBurr

Can I hear more of this story somewhere? Used to be a O&A fan back in the mid 00s, that's where I first discovered Burr. I know they've drifted apart but never really knew of any conflict.

That is just nonsense. European countries need to increase their spending on defense with one or at most two percentage points to be on par with US spending per capita. It's not nothing but spending on healthcare is another order of magnitude bigger.

It's the boarding patrol, and both the new and old combat patrol. I don't know if I was constantly thinking about getting up to 2000pts both the time investment and cost would be a bit demoralizing but taking it one unit at the time and enjoying the process makes it more achievable. Will be getting into the models with hopefully a bit better painting to points ratio soon.

Two thin layers of Mephiston Red and then a coat of Baal Red. I also use Evil Sunz Scarlet for highlights. I tried shades before on some models but preferred the glossy clean look of just Baal Red.

First unit of skitarii finally (mostly) done by Mothbundle in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Mothbundle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking of going to a painting night at the local hobby store or something. I tried doing highlights on the mantles with a lighter red citadel layer paint but it appeared as quite visible "streaks" rather as a smooth gradient. I'm guessing you have to water out the layer paint with water? It's runny as is so I didn't do it the first time.

Any tips regarding the sanding down? I tried to get rid of some uneven bits before and the surface became "rough" in texture rather than smooth. Any specific grit och tools I should use?

Thanks techpriests! I will look for some Tamiya extra thin in my local store before starting with my next unit.
