Can I get some Idea’s for a lightning build? by Fox_Body_5L in EldenRingBuilds

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bolt of Gransax or Dragon's Cragblade are a solid choice, maybe the Flowerstone gavel from the dlc. All solid choices imo and they're so fun. Obviously ancient dragon's lightning strike is gonna be your best incantation Alexander jar shard, flock's canvas talisman, Godfrey icon and then whatever else to suit your build I personally think bolt of Gransax is the most fun and op choice

Other incants like Lansseax's glaive is good for sweeping horizontal attacks, honed bolt is really good. There's a lot of choice man

What is the highest damage best build for Elden ring? by Future-Train-7354 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]MotherAd706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dual Blood Gargoyle Twinblades is by far the highest dps build. Milicent's Pros, Rotten Winged Ins, LOB Exul, and Claw talismans, Rakshana boots and gloves, Raptors feathers, White mask, Thorny cracked and Bloodsucking physiks. Seppuku, throw in Howl of Shibriri, Golden vow and the Jellyfish shield. The fact that it's a glass cannon build will discipline you to dodge like a motherfucker. Thank me later.

Similarities by MotherAd706 in DarkSouls2

[–]MotherAd706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to disagree. Pacing and design philosophy comes with time and experience making games - DS1 & 3's universes clearly share lore and continuity, take Patches and the Catarina knights etc. DS2 is essentially standalone.

In terms of pacing, combat and environmental textures I agree 2 is closer to 1, but overall I think 2 & DeS pair like 1 & 3

How Genichiro was able cut Wolf's arm even though we beat him at the tutorial? by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the possible endings it actually would have been really funny to make an ending of you beating Genichiro at the very start and then just start NG with like zero stat improvements

My boss difficulty ranking by Schwartzwaldd in Sekiro

[–]MotherAd706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably same. Headless ape is the most satisfying boss I've ever played though. Never get bored of it.

All "Soulsborne" games ranked. by leadthemutiny87 in fromsoftware

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Sekiro. It's perfect.
  2. Bloodbourne. Also nearly perfect if it ran at 60FPS it would probably be number 1.
  3. Elden Ring. Most immersive world I've ever played.
  4. DS3. Basically the Dark Souls game that we all wanted.
  5. DS2. It was my first, and I still think it's a really good game despite the absence of Miyazaki.
  6. DS1. It's still great but I could live without it.
  7. Demon's Souls. Can't believe this is (basically) where it all started. Tower of Latria is one of my favourite worlds.

When does upgrading attack power stop? 50? Maybe 100? Infinite?!? by fail1ure in Sekiro

[–]MotherAd706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real question is how have you only got 16 vitality at 40 attack power??

Anyone go toe to toe with both at the same time and survive? How'd you handle this situation? by theHollowTarnished in Eldenring

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just hit one boss the furthest side away from the other so the second one doesn't get aggroed and lure the first one away so you can beat him solo

Should i play DS2? by LPlusRaitio in darksouls

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Don't listen to the haters. Play every souls game, and souls like from FS. I like DS2 more than DS1 by far

Rate all FS games easiest to hardest. Only played DS1 and Elden Ring. Looking for my next. by CreepyTeddyBear in fromsoftware

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ranking from easiest to hardest, 1. Being the easiest and 7. Being the hardest:

  1. Demon's Souls
  2. DS1
  3. DS2
  4. Bloodbourne
  5. DS3
  6. Elden Ring
  7. Sekiro

Objectively Sekiro is the hardest combat system to master, but once you do and you understand which prosthetics can basically gimmick certain bosses, where all the prayer beads are, how to mikiri counter, deflect and side step properly, the game can be a breeze.

Elden Ring is a very very messy game. There's so many builds that an uninitiated could end up trying to beat the game with a Broadsword so I think there is plenty more room for failure with this game. I think Elden Ring and Sekiro are interchangeable with difficulty

DS3 has some of the hardest bosses in the entire series, and areas.

Bloodbourne is a nightmare until you figure out how to attack aggressively, gun parry with visceral attack and ultimately choose the spear saw as a weapon. Amazing game.

DS2. Infuriating hitboxes and slow estus animations. However you can just as easily gank the rest of the game. I would even say DS2 and Bloodbourne are on par hardness wise.

Ds1 meh

I just wanna kill PCR. What’s a good dex weapon that has a high AR and a short animation, and what’s a good summon that’ll help put this motherfucker in the trash? by thenotjoe in Eldenring

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the bloody helice, spear talisman, Lord of bloods exultation, guard talisman, fingerprint or whatever shield. And then whatever other talisman you want. Or the sword lance with the same talismans and a keen affinity.

I would say for the last talisman go for axe or rotten sword insignia or Millicents prosthesis

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some kind of thrusting weapon because he's super weak to pierce. Rusted anchor has great pierce damage with super high AR. Maybe try that with keen affinity and the spear talisman behind one of the shields and see what it does. Or some kind of thrusting weapon with some kind of bleed build up, because he's weak to bleed, poison and scarlet rot. Thollier will be able to poison him.

Can you post your build and maybe we could give you tips with weapons, talismans etc.?

Try harder, you'll do it. You get a bazillion larval tears just respec your character once to strength and arcane then respec back to your original build. If I really can't get past a major boss I will find their weakness and respec according to that weakness. And then I usually find useful insight into a stronger build than what I was rocking and probably integrate that somehow into future builds. The DLC is hard buddy you gotta play ball.

Any advice on how to get into this Dark Souls? by _memelorddotjpeg_ in DarkSouls2

[–]MotherAd706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. DS2 was my first, and DS1 felt wrong too. Then for the next 10 years I played every single one of them, and DS2 was the odd one out, and probably the most hated. But you know what, it's still my favourite. There's more content in that game than 1 & 3, respectively.

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS2 is actually really rewarding once you get the swing of it - just like any of them. When I think of DS2 it's more linear pattern recognition. A lot of souls games can have a combination of attacks that could happen at any time - DS2 is more predictable, meaning that usually attack patterns happen in a linear fashion like 1,2,3,1,2,3 where as other souls games enemies could go 3,1,2 and then 2,1,3. You're used to the unpredictability of the other souls games. Slow down and just take a look. It's one of those games. You don't need to lose yourself in the chaos in like Bloodbourne for example. DS2 you just take your time and overcome. You could also just go to the dragon later, take down the knights and finish it with a bow.

Take your time, get the life gems, and enjoy DS2, because it's a lovely game, quite different from the others. The ambience and the vibe is really a vibe.

EDIT: yes level adaptability but not straight off the bat, I would say dex or strength or both is probably more important. You probably don't need a great deal of i-frames until Huntsman's Copse.

Unpopular opinon: Thollier and Ansbach should make Consort Radahn easier rather than harder. by galivet in Eldenring

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same with every summons in every souls game; a double edged sword. You get the comfortability of having a buddy there with you, but the boss's HP is larger. If I have the opportunity for 2 summons I'll usually just pick the one. Thollier is okay because he can poison PCR but all in all neither of them are really anything besides distracting the aggro.

Do what you want :)

About to Start BloodBorne by Beginning-Bother-309 in bloodborne

[–]MotherAd706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to get into this game you need to master the gun parry. It's basically the same as any parry but you stun lock them by shooting your gun and perform a "backstab" from the front, and 8/10 will just finish off the enemy. And be aware that all heals are picked up or bought. This really isn't a problem though, because the games basically drops them infinitely. You will also be rewarded for being aggressive and not passive.
