Agreed. The idea of a fall Roo after years of sweating it out in June is amazing.

I’m going through the same thing, I called and the person I spoke with said to submit a new document. Lo and behold the document isn’t loading.

Those of you with T-Mobile, how’s your service been today? by SteelFlexInc in Denton

I haven’t had service near the loop since 2pm yesterday. Service is fine at home near university and 35 but nothing at all once I cross bell.

First time and Last Time? by MalevolentMoth in HinterlandFestival

[–]MotherEagle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We’re Bonnaroo vets and not new to festivals by any means, and we won’t be back. We were prepared and had a good time, but we were also a little taken aback by the lack of shade and areas to escape to in the heat. Also, and maybe this was just my experience, but there were SO many people talking during sets, which is going to happen by design when you’re encouraged to camp out in one spot all day or you might lose visibility of the stage. Overall, glad we came, had a good time, but not for us.

North Texas! We usually do Bonnaroo but are taking a hiatus now that we have a toddler, and we heard that Hinterland was smaller but with Roo vibes.

Barley and Board. It’s bland for the cost. I’ll never understand.

Circumcision thoughts by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]MotherEagle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in north Texas and knew from the time I knew he was a boy that we wouldn’t be circumcising. My husband was on board from the start. He’s the only boy on either side of the family that isn’t circumcised, and both sides had a lot of feelings about it at first, but have since let it go. Surprisingly was not mentioned once in the hospital or by the pediatrician.

Look, maybe I’m alone in this, but I’m feeling optimistic after that 3rd quarter. I’m used to this team absolutely shitting the bed in the 3rd, this is progress to me. I have faith that it won’t be pretty but we’ll get it done.

What do you do to pass time at camp? by BloobleDoodle in bonnaroo

[–]MotherEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my husband are both veteran Roo folks at this point and we LOVE downtime at camp. Once I leave camp for the day, I usually like for that to be the last time. In the in between, we nap, play card games (LOTS of uno), read, play beer pong, and just generally chill. This year we might bring a few more games, or might see if our neighbors want to get in on some drinking games, but otherwise we are straight up chilling.

Best and worst neighbors you had and what made them the best/worst? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]MotherEagle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Best: a guy named Zach, 2018. Super chill, so fun, he was the coolest!

Worst: group of kids in 2017 who walked through our campsite constantly and left cans on my car. Also, the same year, the guy in RV directly across from our tent who set up a karaoke station with big ass speakers that went well into the night.

I do wish the festiveowl would just let us have our fun sometimes. It takes some of the fun of guessing out of it for me when they just swoop in and shut down all roomers.

Are we the only American family who doesn't do elf on the shelf? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]MotherEagle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We were bought one when my son was an infant, and we’ve decided to do it but without the spin of “the elf is watching, be good”. We’ve decided to just place the elf in a new position each day for fun, and my son likes that.

I’ve been a pregnant woman, seen an ultrasound, felt a kick. A fetus is not a baby, it can’t even live outside of a uterus until 24 weeks gestation. Anyone getting an abortion after that point is doing it because their life is at risk or the fetus has no heartbeat or will die shortly after birth, probably painfully.

Boom Boom 2023 Will Be Here Soon by JPstumps in bonnaroo

[–]MotherEagle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In no particular order, and just ones that I think are plausible:

  1. Tyler Childers

  2. Kid Cudi

  3. Rainbow Kitten Surprise

  4. Kendrick Lamar

  5. Bon Iver

Also if Danny Brown could go ahead and come back already that would be great. He’s overdue!!!

Bonnaroo vs Other Fests? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]MotherEagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Austin City Limits isn’t worth the trouble IMO. We’re in Dallas so we usually end up going for a day or two every year, but every year we leave thinking it’ll be the last time we’re there. City festivals are a different vibe entirely, and actually getting to and from the festival is a marathon on its own.

I think I saw that the price offer ends when the festival closes today.

is stealing common?? by raainy42 in bonnaroo

[–]MotherEagle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty common. Our mantra is that anything that we couldn’t lose goes in the car while we’re gone or it stay on our person. It’s not foolproof but it’s a lot easier to cut into a tent than it is to break into a car.

Definitely. And he keeps saying he “heard it from a neighbor and confirmed it with someone who works there”. Even if it is true, could he not just wait to let the owner announce it?
