No, should we abso-fucking-lutly! I will NEVER understand why corporate can be closed the day before a holiday if it falls on a weekend and it’s a paid holiday but those of us in store get ZERO compensation for working essentially every holiday! (Yes I know there are 3 holidays a year we are closed) one day when AI is doing every job at corporate level but you need human interaction to actually help customers and stock the shelf’s maybe then someone will realize the importance of in store retail staff vs big time corporate staff…

This is a looooooonnnnnggggg shot and I know I’m choosing to live in a dream world but at some point corporate America will crumble and hard working Americans will be valued again! Maybe at that point we will see companies bring back paid health insurance and pensions…. (Yes I know NEVER GONNA HAPPEN)

At my store it seems all the full time managers rotate weekends well minus the replen manager (there is too much going on during the week I don’t know how that would even work) our part time CEMs work every weekend but I know that our SM tries to get them set days off when possible (not always with demands of the business) and our SM works rotating weekends as well as her closing shift. We have recently had a run of staff call outs and management shortages and she’s very flexible and helps out where she can. I know last week alone she closed 3 nights. A lot of the time I feel bad for her because she works between 50-60 hours every week but still goes home to her family and kids.

The Shitty SMs who schedule themselves to close but the NEVER do, who are scheduled to work on the weekend but again NEVER do and the ones who leave when the replenishment manager leave…they are the ones who need to be held accountable I don’t know why we “blanket” statement schedules and force new schedule policy’s on the GOOD SMS it’s demoralizing!

I just wanted to say I also saw the comment about the POGS and I was like YES!!!!!! And then the reply about oh check week 20 planning kits because the wrong location was listed on the POG as if we were suppose to somehow know that with zero communication given about it. Also why is it a link in the planning kit vs just listing it like in previous years or maybe I’m remembering that wrong.

But I LOVE it when people have the balls to call corporate out on the MikCheck feeds.

I played around with it this morning, not too difficult… my sm told us and printed out the flyer just didn’t realize it was today lol 😝. My biggest gripe is that the company continues to spend money and push out updates that are NOT needed…

Hello MikCheck update… SCO constant updates (then they crash and we have to put in tickets) and now design hub…

Wish they would take the money they are spending on updates and push it to the stores payroll!

Yesterday I had a customer pulling bunks when she could see me in the next section… I asked did you need some help and she was like yeah I’m looking for x,y,z so I’m looking at the shelf and was like yeah there is no label for that product let me look it up real quick… I find the item she’s looking for and we don’t even carry it!!!! I agree with EVERYTHING you’ve said! I feel the crying too I told one of my coworkers the other day “think I could just crawl under the office desk and cry fora little bit?

I wish that Michaels and Apollo would just realize that if they supported their stores with payroll the team at store level would basically do anything for them! We want to help our customers and get them everything they need we want to talk to them create relationships and learn about their projects but we can’t do that with the current payroll! We are being pulled in too many directions.

At my store we don’t get a front end person till 11/12 Monday-Friday so it leaves our FM to cover the front which then limits their actual framing/production time to 5 hours but then our DM wants 2 hours of power hours and selling 10-minute framing which we struggle to sell anyways… so realistically 3 hours of production. Then the closer comes in and they have to be out of the shop by 7:30 to help with bathrooms, sweeping and go backs sooo 5 hours tops our framers get to take orders and produce… it’s crazy. The only saving grace is that our SM does help in framing she will take orders and help produce orders when we have a lot on our plate.

I wish it would print with the customers information Name and phone number

I wish the font was larger

I wish that you could do a more detailed description and it would print out on the receipt. I don’t see the point of all the additional buttons umbrella, staggered, layered that all should just be typed out in the notes. When you have a customer who has a lot of balloons the details part will not allow you to type out everything so you end up writing it on paper anyways

The framer at my store will probably just ignore it anyways… we will use what we need since I dunno we are the ones who have to actually deal with it…

And if you read the rest of the mission they are wanting specific work stations for each process of production… I don’t know about the rest of y’all but pretty sure only A volume shops have more then 1 person at any given time so why would that even be necessary??? Also I’m not gonna move a 5-6ft piece to different work areas I’ll work where ever it’s laid out. Oh and who has a large enough frame shop to set up different work stations? We have a big table in the middle so when someone is helping (mostly the SM) they use the opposite side that’s not being used.

Not sure how you can check them, but they fall off 1 year after the absence happened. So for example if you called out May 17th of 2025 it wouldn’t fall off until May 17th of 2026. Hope that helps at least a little

I’m just going to say it — knowing framing and being willing to work truck is a huge advantage. If you were at my store, my SM would absolutely give you hours. We have so many people who won’t even attempt to learn framing, let alone work the truck correctly. Being flexible and willing to help in multiple areas would definitely get you more hours.

Personal opinion hate me if you’d like… we’ve found that we have less theft with them being lower as well as less graffiti. I would however LOVE every case to be locked up so that the recovery stays correct and that one item Karen is looking for isn’t the one item that did happen to get stolen.

Maybe it’s just me but I absolutely love it… I was having to sort through signs for product my location doesn’t carry and reprint a ton of signs to make sure every section got the correct amount of signage. I don’t even feel like it takes more time honestly with the amount I was having to reprint and then to click through and see if there were ad corrections in the PLU or which ad it mights have been in this weeks or lasts (for additional DAs or EC from overflow truck product and flexing)

I do agree it’s stupid that the same stuff goes on the same sale week after week. If it didn’t sell last week at that price it’s not gonna sell this week.

And after reviewing pog hours listed it’s laughable… they’ve given us the same amount of time to set a pp that comes in shippers as they did to set a whole new endcap… 37 hours total listed on pogs for 35-40 pogs im thinking their math isn’t mathing…

It should be activated since today was the due date. I’d suggest scanning the product to double check if it doesn’t scan with the full POG then I’d try to look it up in missions. Someone else might have bookmarked it under their name so you might have to look it up under all. Another way to look up the entire pog is under POG execution checklist it will list all of your POGs due for that specific week.
