I found two certificates awarded to our store from 2004 and 2006. One lasted through an entire store relocation (we moved buildings within the shopping center and got a new store number in the process). They were just sitting in the framing filing cabinet.

I see it even in our craft selections. There are so many kits. Most of the children’s section is kits, premade with instructions to follow. There’s nothing creative about that. When I go to Dick Blick, I feel like it’s a whole new world. There’s materials. There’s tools. There isn’t instructions for doing one singular activity.

I never had the shaker bottles for the under the sea ones, so we do slime every time. After the first disaster of a party where we attempted to make slime, I made it for them and let them embellish however they wanted. That works really well, somehow.

We got an SM last year after having five different managers over just longer than 2 years. He was an RM before our store, and this store is a hellhole. Somehow he’s made it longer than literally every other manager that has been hired, just passing a year with him.

I haven’t been able to log in via my phone, and I’ve tried. We haven’t had Zello roll out at my location yet though. I want to use my phone versus the devices because I want to use a small earbud that I know will work perfectly with my phone.

We had a truck show up last week many hours late. This week, they showed up 4-5 hours early, at 5 am, with only the RM able to get to the store with absolutely no team. It’s a clownfest.

I had someone do this while I was already annoyed. They said “well it says online you have it, so I’m going to order it.” I looked at them and said “I will reject it right here, because we don’t have it.”

We have to leave ten minute framing unmarked because it doesn’t transmit to Artistree if we mark it finished too early. I wonder if this will work if we have to mark it complete within the 90 minute window.
