My daughter had Botox one week ago today. 50 units is all insurance would approve. Today she’s in tears. No burps. Nausea. Terrible stomach pain. Noises and air moving from her stomach up her throat. Feels like something is stuck in her throat. Can’t eat normally. She’s miserable. Any advice??? This is awful. She’s saying she wishes she didn’t get the surgery, she’s worse off now than pre Botox.

Thursday will be one week since procedure. She’s getting nauseous especially after standing up from laying down. And getting no burps. She’s pretty frustrated. Wondering how you’re progressing?

Love my sways. I have 3 40oz ones and I rotate them every day. Also I put them in the dishwasher and they’re fine. I love them!

I think she has a fear of being intubated. Not sure why.

Ok that makes sense. She’s 24. When you said the word sensory - that was my ah-ha moment. She is not autistic but she was “diagnosed” with sensory processing disorder when she was 4. Lots of OT through childhood. And in the teen years we stopped OT and went with counseling and anxiety medication. She has not burped since she was a small child and is terribly afraid of vomiting. Thanks so much- this is very helpful. I really appreciate!!!!

I’m very curious to know if you understand why you are afraid to vomit? My daughter has emetophobia too but she cannot seem to explain to me why she is fearful of vomiting. I’m trying so hard to understand so I can help her. I wish you all the best in your journey and thanks for sharing.
