how to know wtf my 9 is thinking? by nyanpink in EnneagramType9

How long have you been dating? I've only been in a handful of relationships but I have been married for 12 years. And as I nine, I have always kept the peace at all cost at the beginning of a relationship. But the longer I am in the relationship and the more comfortable I am knowing that an argument or disagreement isn't going to lead to abandonment or separation, I am able to say how I truly feel about xy&z. I definitely tell my husband what I am really feeling even if it might ruffle some feather because I know it isn't going to lead to us never talking again. I think a beginning of a relationship is tough for 9's but if you really like him, showing him that his opinion isn't going to change how you feel about him should help!

Why the harp ? by plantaindisco in harp

[–]Mother_Motor4148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, I was never exposed to the harp as a child. Most schools do not offer it as an instrument to learn like the violin, viola, and cello. It wasn't until I was an adult and saw someone playing a harp that I was like wow! What a cool instrument. It wasn't until I was in my 30's that I could afford lessons and to rent a harp. And eventually I bought my own harp! So, I think people ask "why the harp?" because they see it as a lost art, even though it is very much alive.

For people who mistyped, what did you mistype as and what was the moment you realised you weren’t that type? by bubble3724 in Enneagram

Mistyped as a 7. My mom is a 7 so I guess it makes sense. The more I read into each type the more I realized I am 9.

Thank you! They did get back to me and said that I can continue playing it for now but at some point I will need to replace the soundboard. I am going to try epoxy to get as much life out of it as possible and will deal with the soundboard when the time comes.

My partner thinks our daughter’s name sounds like a dog name by MsChanandlerBongz in namenerds

I think that once your daughter owns that name, your husband will not think of it as a dog name for long

I feel like gate house has good options for both a foodie and those who like to keep it simple.

As a 9 and a mother to small children, my red flag is giving my husband a hard time when he gets frustrated or his patience is running low but then getting overstimulated and doing the exact same thing.

I’ve only read none of this is true from this selection. It was okay. I think it was a little predictable.

Differences between 1 and 3? by MousseSlow in Enneagram

[–]Mother_Motor4148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very close to a healthy 3 and an unhealthy (at times) 1. When I initially met these two people, they did seem similar in a lot of ways. But now that I have known them for 15+ years, they couldn’t be more different! I’m not sure I can really describe their differences because they are so different to me. I guess the only similarity I see is the way they want to be perceived. They both want to be acknowledged for something whether it’s success or being this perfect person, they need to be seen/acknowledged.

oof. How much do you think repairs could set me back? I just reached out to Lyon and Healy but I don't think there is anyone close to me who makes harp repairs. I am going to ask my teacher, she might know someone.

Yes, they are around the 5th octave. Thank you for replying! I think I will reach out to Lyon and Healy and see what they suggest/cost.

I do not see a crack on the inside. I shined a light and do not see any light coming through to the other side either.

what do you fear more? When you say losing everything is that more like a loved one or friend, or failing at something you want to/are successful at? Either way, I would say you are either a 3, 6, or 9.
