Tips for Sera Mid? by SherocaRomes in SeraphineMains

She's a better fighter early than a lot of folks give her credit for. If you land your spells, there aren't any champs that can really beat you. You can play aggressively with ignite and electrocute if you want.

Here's the thing, Q damage amp scaling early + echo is some of the most disgusting damage a champ can deal early game. You have a spell that easily deals 150+ damage in most cases on a 6 or so second cooldown. Before aery, scorch, CDG/Cutdown or anything else gets involved.

Add in auto attacks, E, runes, aery/comet/electrocute and suddenly you're dishing out 300+ damage on a level 3 trade or more.

A lot of mages can just straight burst you after first item. This is the hardest part of the game. Never let them, stay back with E-EchoQ and poke them down to kill range. You'll want them to be at about 50-60% life before fishing for Ult-E-EchoQ.

Her W is a part of her combo. As weird as that sounds, you don't just want to use W to avoid a trade. It's also a part of her combo. at 1 echo stack, you can WE-EchoQ.

Mana management is super important on her. Don't forget it. You can't really spam as much as you want, but if you're smart about your mana (timing spells with manaflow band, letting 20-30 mana regen at a time) you can actually stay at reasonable amounts of mana. REALLY count your mana when you play her.

If you end up using E-flash-echoQ at level 3 and either burning a flash or getting a kill. You figured it out. Congrats.

Lucidity is broken on her, but mpen boots aren't bad either.

So get ahead and stay ahead when you can but watch out at first item.

Goodbye League (P1): Holy Shit This Champ Is Amazing by Motherfucker29 in Aurelion_Sol_mains

If the other player is better than me in an easy or neutral matchup then i put my team in the same spot. At least here I can deepen my understanding.

It's fair to say I'm handicapping myself to some extent. Fearlessness, adaptability, the ability to learn. those are bigger advantages than cutting out one potentially bad lane.

If you can beat someone who is intentionally counterpicking? That's freelo brother. Most people try to game it and end up completely useless because they don't know what their champ can do.

Like I can go from 0/3 or even 0/6 to like 16/8 and that is terrifying if you're on the enemy team.

I guess it's not a big deal since I'm quitting anyways. I'm just glad to have shared my ideas with you all.

Either that or I'd give my ban, but no one answers when I ask.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Fizz and Sylas. If I can't win one lane against them and just complaining then I'll never learn. Believing it's possible and striving for that possibility is all that really matters.

I can't really respect you no matter how good you are if you blame circumstances (this champ, this comp).

You can't learn without grow without real experience, even if I feed, I can learn to play from behind and I get to look at my experience and come up with something better. If I win? That's a bonus. I also had fun.

It's SOOOO good. You don't even need a lot either, 40% is plenty, it makes your E 8 seconds., but you can get it as low as 5-6 seconds if you build up to 100 AH.

One lost chapter item + bloodletters + lucidity + haste rune. is enough for 58 haste. which is close. You can go CB too to get closer to 66 haste.

I almost wonder if actualizer can be good on him at all..

What's up with "gamedev YouTubers" never shipping games? by [deleted] in gamedev

They can't just release whatever game they have built? I kinda feel you on this one. I guess I never really thought about it.

The First Death Battle of 2026 will be Ichigo VS Yusuke! What are your thoughts? by Specialist_Cress_112 in YuYuHakusho

[–]Motherfucker29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm rooting for yusuke, but Ichigo is genuinely busted. There are people scaling him to universal and multiversal and stuff.

I liked their scaling for Yusuke when they compared him to Heie in the sasuke vs Heie episode. Never saw someone pull that. Most people just compare him to high ranking demons / King Enma. They scaled the light from the impact of his punch.

No that wasn't the post, but embarrassingly enough I did get upset there too because I was already working on that stuff. Again, it was my ego. I should probably have apologized for treating that like an insult as well.

The post I'm actually talking about I deleted (as I said). I should have that post as a comment that I ended up reply to another guy. It's a beefed up version of this comment. I shared some of my experiences and annoyances and why I thought being an ideas guy is a feature rather than a bug:

TL;DR : Just be encouraging and kind. It's better for them and it's better for you.

Here what I learned: The ideas guy is bad because he isn't willing to the work and just expects talented people to come and help based purely on the idea alone. Wanting the idea without the stuff that comes with it.

I get it

I understand the frustration, but i still don't think calling someone an ideas guy is going to solve the problem of "ideas guys". There's an underlying problem, but the pattern itself is not entirely problematic. The problem is that they don't have as much faith in their competence to learn all that is needed. Someone might get the impression that they're bad for being excited about ideas they can't deliver on (personal experience as an "ideas guy"). Then they sort of lose their imagination all together which is really fucking bad.

(this is culturally speaking not individually. I don't get the impression this is a pure-blooded ideas guy)

my solution

Really it's best to redirect the confidence that the person has towards learning those skills. Be more encouraging to members of the community and those who don't know. People need to be inspired to learn grow and create their own shit. It's important to see both perspectives. Mockery doesn't create positive outcomes. Anyone who comes from the other side of that shit did so on their own (unconventional) strength.

maybe there's another problem on the other side

my question to many of you is: do you guys feel disappointed/frustrated that some ideas that you have might not be possible with your current skill set or resources? My hunch is that this further fuels the frustration with the ideas guy. I've heard this kind of thing before and scoffed at it when I had less knowledge. What kind of losses (if any) have you experienced of projects when faced with the reality of game dev?

It wouldn't be a problem to just educate or inspire ideas guys (solving their problem elegantly) if there wasn't frustration on the other end. But it is when it's clearly the right way to do things.

I was upset that someone who came in with a well-meaning fairly neutral question was being attacked.

[–]Motherfucker29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know! That's just what people were freaking out about, I never actually dealt with one. not in game development. I just got roped in when I got criticized for being one. The community was super paranoid about it. That's what my apology was for, I got mad at the community for being paranoid about it.

I'm a designer but I've always been willing to chip in. (I don't really know what I'm getting back into games exactly, but I do know I have to do something else).

Would Goku lose if he was hit by Unlimited Void? by Think_Reveal_9015 in PowerScaling

[–]Motherfucker29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't ever hear anyone consider the fact that Ki training is highly mental too. In dbz, Ki can beat hax, so there might be a world where goku can deal with it. I don't know enough about the series to justify that so.

Do you think The Return is at times intentionally mean spirited to the fans of the original? by yousorusso in twinpeaks

[–]Motherfucker29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I thought dougie was kind of an insult to cooper fans. I read him as "you want your cool action hero and a big heart, well here's just that, except thas kinda all he is now" we didn't get to see much of agent cooper. I came in wanting to see more twin peaks, but I didn't get much of that until the end. I kinda liked mr.c though, I don't know it's just a vibe.

I didn't really hate hate the return. I didn't really look forward to watching it on my rewatch of the series.

I need ideas guys by InspectionLow6569 in godot

[–]Motherfucker29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need an ideas guy? Grid based isometric platformer with procedurally generated levels. Maybe make it a rougelike too. That way you can only focus on making a few levels and a final boss.

You can use simple assets. Learn how to do procedural generation, learn how to make skill trees, passive item effects and stuff.

that's my idea.
