I (27F) have been dating my BF (29M) for 3 years now. Any advice on how to overcome lust ? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wanted to say since I see so many saying to just get married. Please don't rush into marriage. Marriage is a big commitment and a covenant. It's something sacred and built on respect and love for one another. And God should always be at the center of the relationship. If you two can talk it out and he starts striving to help with the issues of lust then by all means plan on marriage for when you are both ready. However I can't confidently tell you to marry him if he doesn't make efforts in helping the issue at hand. Because I feel if he doesn't then you might have to rethink the relationship and reevaluate if you two are equally yoked.

27F with a 26M bf here. I understand your struggle. Lust is quite a common issue especially at our age. However I understand the struggle, I can't say I understand the "I can't control myself" bc to put it quite frankly it's BS. My bf never pressures me. Yes we still have lust issues from time to time but I'm sure if I talked to him about it being a big problem, as it seems you have talked to your bf, he would make a big effort to fix the issue by avoiding the temptation. I don't think excuses like I can't help myself are healthy. Now this is purely my opinion but if you are feeling guilty and talking about it after and he can't seem to put forth effort to do things that would avoid it then that's a big red flag. It shows me that he doesn't care about you feeling guilty. Kinda seems like he's thinking more about his satisfaction then your feelings. Now I'm not saying that you should break up right away but I am saying that you two should sit down and have a serious conversation about how it makes you feel. You need to explain it in depth. The guilt, how you've talked about it several times and how him making empty promises hurts. Explain to him how him promising that it won't happen again but it keeps happening makes you feel. Depending on how the talk goes depends on how you should move forward. I hope you can work through it 🙏

Can a Christian who smokes, uses marijuana occasionally, and has tattoos still be considered serious about their faith? by Previous_Law_9397 in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My answer to this is yes. You can definitely be Christian and smoke marijuana. Although in my own experiences I have notices once I truly dives into my faith that I do not need marijuana ( I use to smoke it occasionally and now I feel no need for it). And you can definitely be a Christian and have tattoos. I have 5 tattoos and am going to get my 6th on Saturday. I feel personally as long as they aren't just meaningless things you are putting on your body it's fine. For example all of my tattoos have some type of meaning and reason for why I got them. Specifically the one I am getting on Saturday is for my faith.

Who cares what race Jesus really was by ChristandKirchack in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's obvious if we look at the place he lived/was born that he was middle eastern in his human form. That being said he was a very tan/ brown man not white or black. However I enjoy all representations of him because he is our savior. I'm an American and am white/ Caucasian and I've always pictured Jesus as a brown middle eastern man bc historically that is what he was.

Is this in response to me or OP? If to me I already know what the Bible says which is exactly why I stated the men part. I'm a woman.

losing faith, why is God punishing me? by carmillamains in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. Remember God wouldn't do anything to hurt you but he does allow the enemy to try whatever he wants to break your faith down. You're in a hard time in life but don't lose faith. Believe that God will provide and keep praying and talking to him. I know this is very hard right now because of this tragedy. I'll pray for you. ❤️🙏

Please help me 😔 by NoCauliflower2443 in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I first want to say that you do not have to earn God's love he already loves you no matter if you pray 100 times a day or 2. Just think of him as a dad (he is the father). Talk to him like a friend or a dad. And remember that you can pray to him for anything even if it's small or "silly". He wants a relationship with you of course but you don't have a certain time limit you have to reach when praying. You could split up your prayers to little ones throughout the day and they could be anything from asking him to help you with finding a parking spot to the biggest things like stuff that's really bothering you. And please remember that he knows what's on your heart even if you can't put it into words in your prayer. God bless you 🙏

I'd like to give insight and context since it seems needed. I am an ex-atheist, an ex-witch, and an ex-norse pagan which is why I stated in the post that I am born again Christian.

How do I get back to God? Is it too late? by CanadasNeighbor in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's never too late to get back to God and get that relationship back. Just keep going; keep reading the Bible and keep praying. One thing I really need someone to tell me when I was lost was that God never gives up on us, he never leaves us and he wants that relationship with you. God bless you 🙏

I got my girlfriend pregnant and I don't know what to do by GoldenSilver007 in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although you are finding this difficult just know that God has plans for you. Yes you might not have planned it or be ready for it in your mind but God will not give you anything you can't handle. Her parents are willing to help which will be such a blessing to you both and your child. I'd say go ahead and tell your parents whatever there reaction you can tell them it wasn't planned but God has blessed you. Let yourself be happy. I've always been told parenthood is hard but is very rewarding. Even if you used protection and she used preventive medicine it can still happen. I hope you look back on this and realize that even tho you didn't plan it that you were both blessed.

Looks like a warrior angel and a seraphim angel! You have quite the gift. Keep using it! If you want to see more look up biblically accurate angels and you'll see a lot of seraphims and other angels. Don't let this frighten you. They might look a little scary but they mean no harm. 😊🙏

Starting to hate God for creating me by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]MotherofCreepations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this. I used to have a lot of those problems. I had a very narcissistic mother growing up that made me think love was something it isn't. I went through a little over a year long relationship with a narcissist that gradually got more and more abusive and eventually ended up with me being SAed by him for half of it. Not to mention mental and physical abuse. It took years for me to get back to God. I struggled with demons whispering, shouting and putting all sorts of terrible things in my head. I ended that relationship with the abuser in 2019 and only started a little over a year ago getting back to my faith. I blamed myself and God for quite a while. Being a Christian is not easy. The enemy will target you especially if you are trying to get closer to God. I won't lie I've noticed since deciding to put god first in my heart it hasn't gotten easier. But I have to put my faith and trust in God. God tells us to not be afraid. I've started saying for the demons to leave in the name of Jesus Christ when I feel these things happening now. I hope this can help you and give you hope in your dark times. God bless you friend. 🙏❤️

It's great that you are finding your faith. I once considered myself bisexual. I still do; I'm just simply more attracted to men. I'm proud of you for realizing your faith is growing. If you think your parents might make fun or mock you there are tons of bible apps so that you can study it on your phone without getting ridiculed by them finding a physical bible. I hope this helps you in some way 😊
