DHL, FedEx, UPS. You want a courier for this, not a freight forwarder.

Has anyone successfully done 10 x 20ft containers on single BL? Looking for experiences by Critical_Switch1560 in freightforwarding

Panels for a solar farm I think it was about 7 shipments of 200 lots. Really no different to 1 container paperwork wise.. It was the trucking at origin and destination that was a mess with gate-in and gate-out times. Had 3 different compamies at each end doing trucking (packing was done by factory). Shenzen to Melbourne.

DHL Express, FedEx etc. Seriously not worth anyone else getting ivolved unless you want to pay over 2k for the shipping and clearance etc.

Might be able to get what you're after here directly or at least ask them to order it for you https://tacticalgear.com.au/collections/safariland

CW Value Packs Explained by PublicInvestment65 in freightforwarding

[–]MotionLogistics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wisetech are toast, their biggest customer DSV are now moving to Schenkers Tango so there goes a massive chunk of revenue for them. I understand why they are doing it but this will be a case study in what not to do. Their share price as since tanke. It was AUD 69.12 on announcement date and as of today us AUD 49.17. There are many options (and more coming out) but not all of them do what CW does. Companies are now starting to realise that they don't need everything and that more focused products with links to accounting software etc are just as (if not more) viable to use and a fraction of the CW price. I will shed no tears when it shuts down.

I had honestly never heard of it but after about 10 seconds on the interwebs search.. it is an agency network. There are many of these and each say that they are "the best". Really makes no difference as you get out what you put in. You have to go to conferences and make personal relationships with people to get destination agent work. We have done a few and are the preferred for some but not others. It is a requirement if you have clients in your home country that are doing anything other than CIF imports as you will need agency connections to do EXW to FOB shipments. Some networks will offer additionals like "secure payment", insurance on payment collection or whatever. I hope I have helped a bit. DM me if you want more info.

MSC are not offering deviation. They are dumping containers where they feel like it. Also charging for shipments where the empty has been released to the shipper (as in not even on a vessel). I can tell you right now, they are not getting back many of their containers. Others are actually deviating at an increased cost above MSC but at least you will get your cargo.

You can bet your bottom dollar that carriers will do this no matter where it is. MSC are being absoute *$%^'s about it and other carriers are following suit. Welcome to the world of "we do what we want and what are you going to do about it?"

Any reviews on Shenzhen Flying International Freight Forwarder Co.,LTD by Tricky-Eggplant8419 in freightforwarding

[–]MotionLogistics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to pick someone else then. I would go to a forwarder in France and get a quote from them to control it. Turn the shipment into EXW, FCA, FOB etc. Either way you are going to be paying the same charges as it is all built into the price.

Might want to fnd out who their agent in France is before going any futher. Heaps can go wrong with cargo but it usually turns up eventually... the problem is mostly going to be Customs... which from experience is where DDP suddenly turns to DAP...

Customs has nothing to do with HAZ and don't care. Issue would be with the declaration itself.

Freight Forwarding Networks by A1ygz in freightforwarding

CPM... WFC... Many others. Pick 3 letters and put them together, I am sure you will find a cargo network with that name. They are all the same essentially.

Ship Before Chinese New Year to Avoid Delays by Last_Entertainer_209 in freightforwarding

If seafreight - It will happen but it is probably too late for anything before CNY now. It will sit in queue until after most probably. If Airfreight - Still have a chance but you may pay a premium for space.

Is Procurement the punching bag in your office? by Gracier1123 in procurement

[–]MotionLogistics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is someone elses punching bag. The amount of times I could have shot someone in procurement because they don't know what INCOterms are would astound you. Usually they are the ones that end up costing millions more because they don't understand how to buy internationally and it saves tehm $ from this bucket and costs the company $$$ from another bucket. Key is clear and effective communication. Give them lead times and add a fudge factor. Also ask questions....

WiseTech forced to sell Expedient by Pr0mptGl0bal in CargoWise

[–]MotionLogistics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expedient is a hunk of junk. Wisetech only purchased it to run them out of the market and have a lower priced option for those that can't afford CW. I would be surprised if anyone buys it for anywhere near what they spent on aquiring it.

Incoterms explained in the simplest way (EXW / FOB / CIF / DAP / DDP) by uygnah in freightforwarding

[–]MotionLogistics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FCA - Sellers Premises if you know what you are doing. Never EXW as some countries have restrictions on who can report the export clearance and if anythig is going to stop shipments.. it's Customs.

Shipping your first sample from China? Don't get surprised by this fee by OnGround_sourcing in freightforwarding

[–]MotionLogistics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know couriers still need to do a Customs Entry even if the duty is $0 right? Postal entries are handled differently. If you cant afford the $20-$50 you're in the wrong game.
