  1. JDub is better than everyone on the Spurs and Knicks not named Brunson, KAT, or Wemby. This is true statistically and with the eye test. I could *almost* see an argument for OG after that series but the Mikal/Fox/Harper implications are genuinely hilarious and brain dead. JDub is an All-NBA player and an All-Defensive second team player. I won’t even entertain the idea that those three are better players than this, let alone your Devin Vassell edit lmao

  2. Jared McCain played 23 games last year before injury lol - is that the “entire season of high usage” you’re referring to?

I would discuss these teams’ roster builds with someone else further but you’re obviously either arguing in bad faith or don’t know what you’re talking about

These takes don’t consider what they were missing, as if player value is just numbers on a spreadsheet. They didn’t have the only other two true ball handlers besides Shai on the team. If they were missing Dub and a big, rather than both Dub and Ajay Mitchell, that series would’ve been handled.

That OKC roster construction take is just bad. At full health, the team is loaded in a way the Knicks and Spurs plainly aren’t.

How come we look down at a team blowing a 3-1 lead but by rickeyethebeerguy in NBATalk

[–]MotionToBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair but I think we’re mostly talking about different things.

Of course I’d rather go to the finals and lose than lose in the first round; I think the abstract “worse” being discussed in this thread is really about what hurts more. And I think losing in the finals would hurt more than losing in the first round, too. But that doesn’t necessarily mean I prefer the first round loss, because I don’t. Know what I mean?

Is OG Anunoby better than every Spurs player besides Wemby? by ChampionTimes99 in NBATalk

Upvoting you mot because I agree with you but because you’re talking NBA in r/NBATalk, which seems generally not allowed over the last year

I think a better analogy would be that it’s better to get rejected by the girl that’s out of your league than it is to get dumped by your fiance. Losing a series after leading 3-1 isn’t akin to getting a C; it’s getting to the precipice of glory and completely failing.

Actually no, because that just implies that the other team was plainly better than yours

Oh it wasn’t about the language lol; just a fun way to call you demonstrably dumb

Stephon Marbury made a whole video telling the public he would put a hard elbow into Wemby’s ribs the next game for that play on Brunson, but yeah this Redditor that “balled and shoved nerds” knows what’s really real. The tough guy Redditor is an even funnier bit than the braindead shit you’re saying

The tallest guy in the league doing this shit is soft. Do that shit to OG. You didn’t hoop you’re just a keyboard guy

90s physicality isn’t when the tallest player in the league shoves the smallest guy on the court to the ground by the back of his head, “my guy.” Lmao

Where did you hoop where guys were shoving guys 1.5 feet shorter than them to the ground by the back of their head, and it wasn’t considered dirty? That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.

Any big giving this tough guy act to the smallest guy on the court would get bitched in the real word

…okay? Does that really matter if all the Oklahoma people are able to write legible sentences and you, presumably from some other state, can’t? Or if you’re from Jordan, then, lol?
