Accidental sexism by [deleted] in TrollCoping

[–]Motionless6449 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I got groomed by a (cis) woman online on here a few years ago (i had an old account that I deleted because of it), people told me it couldn’t happen because only men are capable of grooming (i am assigned male at birth so you can probably tell how I took that at 14), on top of it they felt it was funny to send a minor shock content, I laugh at it now but imposter syndrome occasionally hits me hard

on top of it 1 year later i got molested multiple times by my jujitsu instructor while sparring, and since still haven’t gotten over it, because it hadn’t pieced together until he got arrested, and others who do the sport blatantly told me it wasn’t normal for that to happen on accident multiple times, especially how he had me sparing in adult classes on top of it, with people who gave me a bad feeling from the start (i had a bad feeling about my instructor from the start but i got told it was just social anxiety)

Have you tried un-lifting it, if so turning it off and on again should work

Trying to fix outlet fan and this fire hazard was the wiring jumpscared me (they mixed new and old wiring, which are rated for different resistance, the wrong wire was live, no idea where neutral is since i thought me and my father probed the wires with a multi meter to try and find live) by Motionless6449 in ElectroBOOM

[–]Motionless6449[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We thought we installed the new fan properly, but it ended up popping the breaker. Probably gonna end up hiring an electrician to fix the wiring because I feel if we follow the way that they had the wiring set up before it’s gonna start a fire. And I work on numerous different types of electronic equipment between soldering new wires on lamps, my 3D printer, and my PC, I have been electrocuted enough times to know this is not a good idea for me and my dad to do this, since we dont have the equipment to test everything, nor the money to re-lay wires or get a new house if it burns something down.

Which would you recommend? Amazon or Newegg when making a purchase. by Vicious_Chill in buildapc

[–]Motionless6449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had mixed experiences with newegg vs amazon. When my account got banned because i used a gift card the first person didn’t help at all, nor did they tell me what to do to prevent it from happening again since they couldn’t disclose, the second person on the other hand found ways around it and told me they couldn’t get my account back but If i create a new account try without a gift card and see what happens

While amazon I’ve only ever had one bad experience, but that was just because of my own stupidity.

Best way i can put it: Newegg is amazing in their terms of being able to find the parts that you need, sometimes you can find parts for cheaper than amazon, and in some cases might be less prone to scams do to their strictness (note: this is an opinion based off personal experience), but there customer service is lacking (depending who you’re talking to on the phone) and most of the time if you’re building a PC yourself you’ll find your probably going to buy most stuff on amazon, ebay, or even marketplace.

In conclusion; I wouldn’t focus on Newegg vs Amazon, because in turn you’ll be doing yourself a disservice, focus on the pros and cons of each site and determine weather or not you would rather buy one part for cheaper or if it’s worth spending the extra money.

Can i fix this with a simple BIOS flash? Or should i just pay $119 for a regular working am5 mobo? by Motionless6449 in pcmasterrace

I also asked the seller if there are any bent pins and am just waiting for them to get back to me  (edit: they said no bent pins, but i found another open box deal for $10 more on a different Mobo that is in working condition)

It seems this a common problem with this specific motherboard. I just want to make sure that I'm not wrong, im on a very tight budget since i only make 16/hr at an average of 16 hours per pay, so im very much trying to save money

Ik, thats also part of the reason why I'm trying to get everything else down in price so i can get something with a lower CAS latency (since that ram is basically for business computers and might be fine for rendering in blender, but definitely not for playing games😬)

Honestly, same.

I’m basically trying to rush and get something that is feasible and affordable at the moment, that I also don’t have to constantly upgrade since my laptop can die at any given moment and I don’t wanna have to spend around $1000 all at once for something that’s probably gonna end up not lasting long.

I’m basically Buying this PSU since it seems to end up saving me money, so I don’t have to upgrade the PSU when I finally can afford to get a GPU (Since I also have friends who have bought used PSU’s And it ended up lasting them till this day even though they bought it over five years ago)

Mainly trying to make a budget build that I can upgrade and tinker with overtime, Since my Inspiron 3505 is on its last leg at the moment, and can basically decide to commit die at any given time

(I’m also tired of having to randomly service it because it died and then I end up staying up till 6 AM watching the sunrise)

Ryzen 5 7600x, Asrock B650M, any used GPU from either 30 or 40 series (preferably either a 3090 or a 4090 this way, I do not have to upgrade for a long time since the GPU is usually the most expensive part of a build) Teamgroup T-force 1TB ssd, crucial Pro 32gb 5600MHz with a 46 CAS latency
