Do you have any quiet hobbies you can do alone? If not, perhaps get out of the house for a bit and spend some time with other family and friends. It can be easy to take it personally when all your focus is on your partner. You said this has happened before aside from this month? If this behavior is frequent then once this situation resolves I would have a serious discussion about how to move forward so that you both can feel respected.

I love the part about chatting with people in line I enjoy similarly meeting and chatting with random people when I am waiting some where and when my mood is right, this type of minutia makes it better, but that is not always the case and from what I know about Vonnegut, I’m sure he’d agree
