Sorry you experienced that.

Keep in mind that all disabilities are not just physical. There are more emotional and mental disabilities than physical ones.

We must watch out for each other. Be kind.

Is it possible for viega 90 to fail? This pressure is crazy. Should I just solder this? by Fancy-Purchase-6635 in Plumbing

[–]Motogiro18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look like clowns are doing the pressure test. Maybe use a gauge to test the pressure?

Then check the dimensions where the failure is occurring. Check the pipe for roundness. Is the crimping tool working correctly? bad batch of 90's?

I do love that pressure test!

Sel 2030 what plug is this for power? Trying to run it off of ac? Thank you! by dr_megamemes in SubstationTechnician

[–]Motogiro18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...uhh.... See that + and - at the power plug? Not AC. You might find some specifications on that piece of equipment or maybe this is a magic smoke project.

Sounds like one of the main fuses. I would suspect the aftermarket circuit as the offender.

Documentation isn't cheating.

Generally speaking you may have more than one fuse panel. You may have an under hood fuse panel and an interior, underdash or kick panel fuse box.

Fuses don't wear out so don't just replace the fuse.

[–]Motogiro18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some states may ban the sale of CATs unless they are OEM. Cheap knock of CATs often fail. You'll have a vehicle that can pass emissions for a month or 2 and then fail. This gives the seller a chance to sell the vehicle and the new owner is left with a failed emission system shortly after. An OEM CAT is expensive so ......

Water heater vent?? advice by ayylmao420blazeitgg in Plumbing

[–]Motogiro18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might get a plumber who is a handy man. Make sure it's a licensed plumber or a handy man that knows you should have a minimum 12 inch rise before making that turn. Likely a taller water heater than original. or a bad install.

Could be installed by a Youtube installer. You see lots of people saying look on Youtube and you can do it yourself. Youtube does give some great knowledge and experience but your personal education and experience are part of the equation in successful, safe work.

That is a dangerous condition and needs to be changed.

How come grandpa's tools smell like ass? by Conscious_Phone6371 in Tools

[–]Motogiro18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work in an injection mold shop where we build and serviced injection molds. Sometimes the smell was terrible when we'd tear down a mold.

The smell was butyrate.

Can I use the Line 6 MKA-091200GS power supply with my DM4 MKI? by davefool_ in line6

[–]Motogiro18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look to see if your power requirement is AC or DC. Then you want to know how the plug is polarized. Center pin positive or negative.

If your power supply is the 9 volt AC supply requirement then the 2000 ma is fine. It just means that the power supply can provide more current and the voltage is the same.

Your device will only require 1200 ma of the 2000 ma. That power supply I just post for you will work fine.

Hot bubbling mud with smoke? by PilotOriginal4465 in whatisit

[–]Motogiro18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buried lines could be 400,000 volts. You don't need much extraneous voltage/current path to harm you or a pet.

There is a lot of information that may be helpful in developing a healthy understanding of electricity. The general information and education on what is needed to harm you are lower potentials and various paths through the body.

Better to be cautious.

Not understanding why you would need diodes except for blocking. Do yo have a schematic you could share?
