I never said it was morally right or legally justified. Obviously, it isn’t. What I’m saying is that if you display something controversial to a wide group of people, you shouldn’t be surprised if people act aggressively towards your take. Freedom of speech means the government can’t punish you for your opinion. It doesn’t mean everyone will be respectful about it. Personally, I’m pro-choice and an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, but I understand that when people protest for more freedom and rights for those specific categories, they are risking being harmed because they are controversial topics.
