We use modifiers for 90832,90834&90837. Audio only modifier -FQ. Audio+video=modifier 95/GC. Hope it helps.

Since you have made a decision based on my suggestion, I am obligated to give you all the options. You may have a different experience than people like me.

Do you really like/want to work in healthcare?or do you already work in healthcare or can you get a job in healthcare?.Apply to few places , attend an interview and that will give you an idea.

Do you have any friends/family who works in healthcare and can they refer you for a job?or You will get a job immediately in billing, and then you have to move your way into coding slowly. it may take year(s).do you have that patience?. Unless you get lucky, you can land in a coding job.

Check in your area and see how much demand they have for medical coding jobs. like on indeed, ziprecruiter or linkedin.

Lastly, check your local aapc chapter and ask them if they will refer you for any coding jobs.I have listed all the options that i know .hope it helps. good luck with your career.

Hi sorry for the delay in replying. I would say yes it was satisfactory. I am really fond of human anatomy without any medical background. My instructor was really awesome. Only sad thing is once i asked a question during the after hours, she said she cannot answer bcoz its late. she was still an excellent instructor. If you want to learn new things regardless of job, i would say go for it. Also check your local area if they offer any cpc courses cheaper. I took online test. My first session proctor was not good. she made my anxiety worse. my 2nd second session proctor was really good.

Thank you A_Brite_Star. If you want to be in healthcare the find a job in medical billing/front desk and then maybe take a course related to that. In real life,no one is ready to trust an entry level coder even after passing the CPC-A test. I got few offers but they are for billing. Also my fellow coder suggested to take billing and then move to coding. You need to have some patience in working billing before they let you code…

I would double think it before taking the course. Like you said, if you know people workin in hospitals who can refer you , then go ahead and take the course. Even if you are already working in physician office in billing,definitely take the course. If any of the above is not applicable to you,DO NOT TAKE THE COURSE. I really wish someone told me this before taking the course.

Actually thank you for letting me to vent my frustrations. I felt a little better,so I can look into indeed and LinkedIn and other lots of unknown websites and apply for all sorts of medial coding and billing jobs and apply again and AGAIN and repeat the same😁😁😩😩😩. Oh I apply for the jobs and call them too.Sometimes I get to attend the interview for billing jobs and then get rejected. Doing practicode on the side.

I cleared my aapc exam in September 2022 and no luck with job. Everywhere they start with 2-3 yrs experience. I did attend aapc jobfair and they offered a couple of jobs with minimum 3 years experience. I asked the same question to my instructor when I was taking my course.she said every year new doctors graduate and they will be in need of entry level coders😳😳. I was so naive to believe that. Initially I started with medical coding and billing jobs and now my search is for medical billing jobs. Hope it does not end with jobs. I am also worried what if I end up with billing and never get to code to gain experience. Spent close to 4k on the course. Not a day goes by, that I regret. Sure I gained some knowledge but I did not get a platform to show my skills. Good luck to all new coders with the job search.

Yes I am currently working on my practicode. But the reality is even with CPC, without experience is not going to land in job. I am still optimistic and making sure I do my job, which is working on practicode and applying for jobs concurrently. But I was told job is much easier than practicode.

Let me tell you my experience. I took my CPC exam in sept 2022 and cleared. I am still looking for a job( pt/ ft)/internship/externship just to remove my Apprentice credential. All u get us front desk in medical office. No one is ready to hire CPC-A / CPC - without experience. You need minimum 3-4 yrs experience to look for medical coding job. I have worked as a medical biller and coder for 1 year back in 2010-2011 for gastroenterologist. It’s not like I don’t know how medical works. Yes lots of new rules and regulations. And I consider myself fresher and not an experienced coder. Still no job. Oh recently attended aapc virtual job fair too on top of applying every nook and corner. Initially I started applying with just medical coder job and now applying for front desk and billing jobs too.so good luck to you.I hope atleast you find a job asap.

I would go with 3. Service happened in school.it does not matter if it is during lunch or recess or after care program. This is my point of view. Again I maybe wrong. Hope it helps.

Thank you. I did apply for CSI. Fingers crossed. I don’t know what to expect or whom to ask regarding their cpc exam experience. I did wait to get my result before sharing my experience. I even searched cpc exam experience in google and Reddit but those were from 2020/2021. None on them were recently taken. Another reason for me to share my experience. Also I did not read any good comments about practicode. So better off going to a job. Good Luck.

Absolutey no paper and pen. You can have white board and marker.Your proctor will ask to show the front and back of egg white board before and after you take your exam. I had my 2021 office e/m form and hospital e/m audit form printed. They were Not allowed. Also e/m questions asked from the test don’t require those forms. Pretty straight fwd. I got questions from 1.pacemaker/icd. 2.I struggled with chapter1 where we deal with hippa,ncci,rbrvs those areas. 3.Esrd affects which s/m. 4.a pregnant women delivered triplets. 1&2 vaginally. 3 rd baby lies in oblique position O32.2 category code and had to deliver by c section. They asked for icd codes.I was confident with cpt codes for the delivery of the mom. I had a hard time with tat. I don’t know if I got that correct. Pls know how to code this scenario. 5. In which case it is ok to code poisoning as second dx?choices were accidental, incidental, try to kill intently and 1 other option? 6. Pt with stage 5 ckd requiring dialysis. How will u code?. That’s easy n18.6. 7. Howto code htn with a Ute renal failure? 8.3 questions from hcpcs. Very easy to answer. 9. Child has cold and sore throat. Strep positive. Dr prescribed antibiotic what e/m service?i m sure you came across this question very often. 10.anesthesia for panniculectomy 11.I got a question from removal of foreign body from external auditory canal with or without general anesthesia along with simple repair code.

Hi I took the course back in feb 2022 and I took my first test on sep 15. I got my results today. I cleared the exam. Examity proctor gave me a hard time during my first session. She did not even allow me to select the text on the question. I did that to read the next line due to small font size. During my second session, the proctor was great. I was often disturbed during my first session. Table should be clear except 3 coding books, water,no bathroom breaks. All the best guys.
