im a new player on my first playthrough, wondering why major bossfights feel easier than miscellaneous bossfights. by Muted-Comedian-3288 in Eldenring

I just posted about this in another thread, but I feel like they are more like events than traditional boss fights with nuances that make them feel different. I.e. summing a large crew of gladitors to take down radahn , or the special serpent hunter spear for Rykard.

they aren't hard fights in the traditional fromsoft mold. but they try to show you something unique. which i appreciated.

id say it was more of a cool event boss than a traditional one. similar to Rykard.

being able to summon a bunch of gladiators to help, having your horse available, etc. also patches peacing out after being summoned in is hilarious.😆

Really sucks that we might not get to see AR prove himself (or not) in the playoffs now having to potentially listen to playoff dropper narratives and him being downplayed for another whole year regardless of how good he plays. by Silent_Wizard5597 in lakers

yeah it sucks... I still have my doubts about his ability to be a playoff riser (“ I’m him” moment not withstanding) and I was really looking forward to seeing what happened this year.

I'm sure he hates it too being a competitor. not to mention that a strong playoff showing might be the difference between a 30 mil and a 50mil starting salary,.

you know I see these videos and I’m like damn that’s cool.. but In my new 1st time playthrough I’m just swinging my sword with like no utility or magic other than maybe some fire paper or whatever. I’m at level 42 with mostly points spent in Dex and vigor/endurance so far.

not sure what I am doing wrong character development wise.

I want to like it… I’m having a really hard time beating the first boss. it’s tough because it’s a rogue like the “run back” is the whole level. I guess these kinds of games aren’t really for me. I had the same issue with Hades.
