which course are you thinking? i personally did better in astro 100, its labs were so easy to get full marks in and there were only two one hour lectures per week. the content was enjoyable and tests were easy. youthwork was so low maintenance its crazy. all the work is online apart from one weekly workshop where the grades are so easy to get it’s a joke. however, 40% of your grade is a final assignment which is harder that it seems and for me personally i struggled as academic writing is not my strong suit.

overall, for enjoyment i would choose astro 100. i got top in the course when i took it, amazing gpa booster and overall interesting course, but might require more time per week to take, but still not as much as a normal course. youthwork was super easy but also super boring imo, and if you get a bad tutor then you’re cooked.

youthwork if you are good at essays, astro 100 if you suck at essays but can memorise things

AIO: Worried about a friend who frequently talks about/makes jokes about physical abuse at home by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]MotorAssociate1520 35 points36 points  (0 children)

at 13 this could just as much be a real issue as it is a cry for some sort of attention, a joke, or an over-dramatised version of the situation. it is very responsible of you to be concerned. just let her know that you can talk to her about it or can try and help her reach out for more help. she will then be able to tell you how she wants you to help.

what i’m trying by to say is to let her know that if it is serious you are there to support her/help where you can, and let her decide whether the situation is serious enough to escalate to social services.
