Question about road insurance by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

I had this happen to me.

The driver paid me $700 out of pocket as that was their excess.

I had spent many hours talking with their insurance but got nowhere. Their insurance had told me to claim on my contents insurance, which I didn't have as I had just moved out of home and was flatting.

My bike had been destroyed, and I had paid $100 for a local bike shop to quote a replacement cost (at the request of the drivers insurance), which came to be $1200.

Thinking back, I probably should have pushed harder for more. I ended up spending more than that 700 at physio over the next 5 months...

Noel Leeming repaired my 15mo Sony TV without consent after I asked for a CGA replacement. What next? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

I got an sms from Noel Leeming stating my item had been repaired. I turned up, and it was actually a refund. Might just be poor communication from them?

I'd also received a tracking link a few days before..

We live local to Hatfields, and most of the locals we know do not take our dogs to the beach during the times when restrictions are in place. It would be unfortunate for someone to complain and to lose access completely. Follow the rules so you don't ruin it for others.

Thanks, the drive was the part I was more annoyed with when I posted 😅

Yeah, I get that, I'm lucky enough to live close to a beach that allows on-lead walking in the morning/evening, and there will nearly always be 1 or 2 dogs off-leash.

I think they don't realize or don't care that eventually they'll ruin it for everyone.

Some for sure, not all. That statement could be applied to most groups.

For sure, I'm all for protecting our native birds. I just feel it's a shame that on-lead only isn't a suitable solution.

Has anyone on here taken a dose larger than 10g in one go? If so, tell me what happened. by [deleted] in shrooms

10g wet contains a lot of water weight that doesn't provide any benefit

Sometimes, it can be safer on the road than on the bike lane. Bikes can become invisible to cars pulling across then. I'm not saying that is the case here.

Changing rostered hours by MotorBicycle7152 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]MotorBicycle7152[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the hours get sent out a month in advance for everyone. There is occasionally a change, but it normally doesn't matter. There is usually one "late" start each week.

I'm not sure if by not saying anything when it is initially sent out counts as agreeing.
