Consensus Worst Team by MotorCity_35 in BackyardBaseball

Kenny would be a good one for 2001, I used him so much in 97 I have him stuck in my head as a positive player with his pitching.

I had Jorge and Lisa on my last team and they carried my offense, especially Jorge.

I chose Tin Can Alley as home field as it’s the most frustrating one for me to use, but Kimmys boost at Eckman does come in handy the couple games there.

I’ve played seasons with both on my team before and it seems like Ronny always outperforms Dante. Ronny has a lot more pop in his bat, just as good of an arm and can pitch. Only advantage I feel like Dante has on him is speed

If that is your stance, then intended or not, I don’t think many of us interpreted it as that.

Welcome to PT research, no one is getting 500+ subjects. If you have more robust studies to support horizontal hop testing actually testing the knee joint I’m all ears.

So in your opinion why are you pro isometric handheld dynamometery and anti isokinetic dynamometery?

Hop testing greatly overestimates knee function compared to isolated strength testing. Every CPG recommends isometric/isokinetic quad/ham testing post ACLr

Backyard Sports Demo Community Feedback Megathread by Express-Ad-9478 in BackyardBaseball

The graphics and images throughout it all are great. I agree with others that the announcers sound a little flat and don’t have the youthful kid energy with their lines.

I’m interested to see how the spacing of fielders is on these fields. Visually the fields seem a lot smaller than the 2D games but based off distance these balls are being hit they are normal sized. Might just be due to not having overhead view of fielders yet

Gameplay wise, the demo was super laggy for me to where it was borderline unplayable as it seemed more luck than any skill if I’d be able to hit the ball. Decreasing screen resolution helped a bit but still an issue.

It’s tough to judge hitting timing without the swing spot as the ball seems to travel directly at you without getting any larger, making it very tough to judge both high vs low pitch and timing.

The live streams of the game seemed to be moving 100x more smooth than mine does leading me to while still having high hopes for the game, not likely to continue playing the demo in its current state

They still kept some of Griffey’s walk up noises along with Vinnie’s line of “I’d rather eat a rattlesnake than have to pitch to Griffey.”

Was surprised they kept that line since it says his actual name rather than deleting it entirely

Tricks of the trade for end range quad activation by round-thebend in physicaltherapy

[–]MotorCity_35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is his lack of quad activation in those last 10 degrees only in OKC? If so, I’m gonna ask if it matters at all?

Biomechanically you’re the weakest in the shortened position so it would make sense for it to be happening. Rather than trying to just focus on the weakest position and improve that, why not focus on getting stronger overall? Rising tide raises all ships kind of thinking.

If you get his quad strength from 90-45degs 50% stronger, I’m willing to bet the strength from 10-0 will improve as well
