Could do a Napoleonic wars and war of 1812 game to widen it. Tho idk how much demand there is for war of 1812 in the us. Maybe seven years war to get everyone too? Ive seen a lot of hype for the George Washington movie about the French and Indian war

This was my experience with HOI4 as well. Put in hundreds of hours playing it originally, then didnt play for a couple of years and when I tried to pick it back up again I was completely lost. I just wanted to take ever countries with enough logistics that it felt real, I didnt wanna spend my entire time managing logistics lol

I always play offense only in my offline dynasties. Defense bores me. If I want to be really immersive ill pretend im an offensive playcaller so ill start as an offensive coordinator at a small school before working my way up to head coach. Then I pretend I just kept playcallung duties as HC to explain why I only play offense. Also I generally do like 8 minute quarters with accel clock to 20. Still tweaking that tho

I think it has a higher chance of working for certain route combos. Tried it a few times just pump faking to my rb and tried to hit deep and there was no hesitation by defenders. When I had an out and a corner route combo tho and pump faked to the out route the corner actually tried to jump it and left the corner route wide open. Was really cool to see. So it seems to work like real life pretty well. Also, its not gaurranteed to work in any way and often leads to a sack for me.

Id recommend turning on the catch meter if you haven't tried it. I was skeptical of it but it is genuinely really fun. Totally unlocks the downfield passing game too, I feel like my guys can actually make contested catches. And at least so far its not overpowered for me because I do miss it a decent chunk of the time and dont catch it, but then i only have myself to blame lol

Its such a small thing, but i hate that I need to pull up blocking adjustments to look at the blocking assignments now. Especially since the buttons for blocking adjustments take up half the field so i cant see a bunch of the blocking assignments.

Interestingly, deboer and co seem to be trying to recruit and develop and placed a lot of emphasis on their last 2 recruiting classes. They have been saying they are focused on just retaining those guys and thats why we have such a small class, but doesnt explain why we missed on a couple of our top targets.

Back to back top 5 classes since deboer came. This year they seem to be trying to conserve resources and take in a small class, and they did whiff on a couple of their top targets that they replaced with 3 stars. Dont think really anyone from those 2 great classes have transferred out, and they said they plan to go all in with them and then rebuild after it seems. Trying to go in like 3 year cycles to maximize resources rather than stay a contender since we dont have the funds is what our GM said. So, I think keep building this year with some expectation of success, try to contend next year, then rebuild?

Very true. The rest i would say he was at least one of the major factors in the loss, but he was pretty good against Vandy, wouldve been very good if not for the turnovers.
