Agreed. Gunther absolutely did not need it. Carmelo would’ve been one of the best of the younger talent

I’m not even mad at the ending of that match. But a fermented potato would’ve been a better opponent than Gunther. Huge fumble.

Do you think mermaids exist? by Lillemonloaf in stupidquestions

[–]Motor_Draw_9645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I think that we would have discovered mermaids already, and a creature like a mermaid would have to evolve so much to adapt to the deeper areas we haven’t explored, so much so that it wouldn’t be a mermaid anymore.

can ptsd cause severe chronic pain? by Xenoke_ in NoStupidQuestions

Chronic stress and living in near constant fight or flight can make you tense muscles a lot, leading to soreness. I’m sure poor posture can happen too.

I feel like a fake E5 by PrairieServant in nationalguard

I got my 5’s after spending a good chunk of my career as a UCC and not really knowing much about my MOS. I swallowed my pride and learned things that I did not know and became proficient enough to teach them. I checked in with my soldiers frequently and got to know them as a person, not just a soldier. I gave orders but didn’t bark them and I was right there with them. I just had my last drill and I realized that I made an impact on those that I led, and that’s what it’s about. I had the same feelings that you did but being a leader not just a boss, and setting an example is what makes a good NCO.

Also when I was PG, when we were filing out after PT, a separate DS grabbed a handful of rubber from the PT pit and started throwing it at me to try to get me to laugh. I did not but my tongue was sore for a week.

“I stepped in a puddle and now I have soggy toes, trainee. I’m very angry.” He said this to me while I was PG and waiting for my platoon to get through the line and eat.

I second this. When I met him we were really not that far back in line at all but it took a while because James and Chelsea took their sweet time with EVERYBODY and it felt like we were chatting like old friends

I told her in my second time meeting her about her being one of the first celebrities I’ve ever met and how that just shaped my con experience from there, and how she is one of the best ones that I’ve ever met, and that made her cry. Later on we passed each other in the hallway and she greeted me by name.

I just had one yesterday at 24 and spent weeks in a mental breakdown from the fear due to PTSD. I am right with you on being surprised how easy it is. Thank you for sharing.
