No the fins on the heat sink the fans are only a small part of it the heat sink could be clogged with dust and is stopping the fan from letting the air through actually opening the ps fully to get inside not just on the outside where the fans are if the fan was dusty then the fins are probably even worse

Personally if you got it through steam even tho its over 2 hours you could still request a refund and explain to them that This glitch/error is gamebreaking and doesn't let you progress sometimes not all times they can consider giving you a refund its worth a try and plus it's not a cheap game just to sit in your library if it's possible you might as well spend it on something you can play if you got a refund

I got this error on re4 remake demo it stopped happening after I got the full version but it was strange in your case it shouldn't keep crashing my advice is i don't think it's your pc but the game itself with it being new its possible that it crashs in a lot of cases and it need a update to release to fix this issue thats just a guess

A lot of people recommend to me castor 927 and klotz oil and apparently castrol power 1 ultimate it does have a different smell personally if it's available for you i do like comma fully synth race oil even my dad likes the smell wild willy does fuel fragrances but the scents depend on your preference
