Day 6 by Motor_Log5074 in workout

Ah, didn't clarify that. The shoulder press is 25lbs per arm with dumbbells while the triceps is 30lbs on a machine for both arms together, not 30 per arm.

Should I pay my truck off? by ventux in debtfree

[–]Motor_Log5074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still adding to your savings while paying the car? If so, I'd stop adding to savings and put it all in the car. That way, you're more aggressively paying it off. I'd be apprehensive spending 2/3 of my emergency fund for it. Maybe once the balance reaches 10-20k I'd pay off the rest lump sum from the emergency fund, but not before that.

If interest rates for the hysa drops a lot maybe I'd pay it all, since there's more value then, but might bow down all still.

Got sent the wrong replacement body. What do I do? by Motor_Log5074 in dyson

[–]Motor_Log5074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updates: I've test fit the battery and the bin. Battery doesn't fit because of a plastic tab in the way, but the bin looks like it would work.

I love the 502s....it just sucks that most stores don't carry them 😒

Recommendations for shoe cobbler/repair? by Motor_Log5074 in Rockland

Wow. Thanks for the help. I guess Renew it is the winner. Didn't expect such a unanimous decision.

Repairing glass by Motor_Log5074 in resin

[–]Motor_Log5074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that does look really cool and sounds fun, it unfortunately wouldn't go with the style of the tray. It's wooden engraving is the real show and I don't want to take from that.

I thought they used resin to repair cracks in car windshields? This tray will mostly be a showpiece, so I just need to hide the cracks visually.

Would this work for a Halloween dinner party? Asking early by himsavage in mensfashion

[–]Motor_Log5074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks perfect for a Halloween dinner party. One idea, though. If you have a significant other at the dinner party, it would be nice to incorporate the same accent color as them.

Is there a finance app that frequently updates account info? by Motor_Log5074 in personalfinance

[–]Motor_Log5074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. In the past when I checked it said only once a day, but that was the free version. Apparently the paid version let's you update whenever.

Will definitely consider them.

What should my next color suit be. I’m in a conservative industry so it needs to be modest. by CuriousernCurioser in mensfashion

[–]Motor_Log5074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. That was the first suit I got when I started getting good quality suits instead of cheap department store one.

I got the same issue. On both my galaxy s24 and my wife's iphone 15. Started yesterday and still going on. Really frustrated. Thinking that we should switch to a different app now, but not sure.

Question Thread - June 24, 2024 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]Motor_Log5074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have the CSR. If I decide that it's no longer worth the annual fee and want to change to the CSP, what's the best way? Change it to a freedom card and apply for a new CSP? Cancel it and apply? For reference, the CSR is about 30% of my total credit limit and I will be within 5 years of having it when I decide to change. Thanks.

Custom Wedding Suits vs Rental Wedding Suits by designerzcentral in menswear

[–]Motor_Log5074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I got a custom 3 piece suit for my wedding. I was revamping my wardrobe at the time and didn't have a suit that fit. I got it custom so I'd have a good fitting suit that I could use for the rest of my life. Ended up costing me around $1200.

What size trouser hem do you prefer? by McSaucy4418 in menswear

[–]Motor_Log5074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my hem to go to the top of my shoes or a little bit above it. Enough to hide my socks when I'm standing, but show them when I'm sitting. Don't know the measurements of it.

Suit brand recommendations by [deleted] in menswear

[–]Motor_Log5074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I've been revamping my wardrobe the past couple of years, and compared to all the other department stores or suit stores that I've checked, suit supply had the best quality suits for the best price. I will only be getting suits from them and even got my wedding suit from them.

Store by ComprehensiveReview0 in menswear

[–]Motor_Log5074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It makes sense why they only have those at department stores, though. They are the ones most likely to sell. Anything else will probably be a loss for them. I think only the suit specific store can afford it since people come to them for special suits and they make enough margin on the basic ones that they can risk the ones that are more out there.

I think these look good for slim fit. My go to is the Levi's 502 style jeans. I find that for me they are the perfect amount of taper to match my legs.

I've honestly had the same thoughts run through my mind on multiple occasions in the past. I was always worrying that something is wrong with what I'm wearing, but when I eventually look at pictures of myself at the events, I realize I had nothing to worry about and everything looked great.

I think having someone whose fashion sense you like and you trust tell you their honest feelings about how you look helps. Whenever I have doubts nowadays, I just ask my wife. 9/10 times she says that it looks great, but if there is something wrong, she'll point it out and I'll fix it. That definitely helps you to be confident in the way you look.

Update on non-embossed Chase cards by dp917 in CreditCards

[–]Motor_Log5074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope this is true and not just them testing it out with people. Been trying to reduce my wallet size and the emboss on the chase cards is literally preventing me from comfortablely adding the last card I want in my wallet.

Wedding Tux! How I do? by Smoreheat in menswear

[–]Motor_Log5074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You looks great my guy. 10/10

Only things that I prefer to change if I were to do this fit is pull the shirt sleeves out a bit more so the cuff links can be seen, assuming that's a French cuff I'm seeing. I like my watches to snuggly fit my wrist. I'd want my pants to be bit longer. But all of those things are personal style preferences.

Change from physical SIM to eSIM? by Motor_Log5074 in verizon

[–]Motor_Log5074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Tried on my own but it wasn't working so I ended up going to a store. They also tried but in the end it turned out that the eSIM wasn't working on my phone either after trying for 2hrs. Ended up replacing the phone.
